Discovery Channel Documentory????

Women's BB is in a strange state -- I used to train w/ one of the ladies who was in that show and she put me thru the paces. I have great respect for the passion & dedication, but its got to be surreal and you constantly question "is it worth it" because even the top of the pile doesn't really get you that much. It is really a sad state of affairs when you almost really have to fit what the audience wants regardless of what you think you, your dedication, your passion & your genetics can achieve. I think Yaxeni Oriquen was one of the last of the Old School FBBs and going forward you are going to see smaller, more "feminine" women.

I think that's why that it takes something inside you to keep you going and that the everyday jane doe couldn't cut it.

But what gets me is that the FBB shows winners get less $$$$ than the MBB. I wish that would change b/c the training and dieting is just as hard.

Listen, that's just the nature of things in a male dominated world where no matter what a lady can accomplish, its really all about how feminine she is. That sucks.

For the purpose of observing some POSITIVE products of the fitness community, I'm gonna put in a plug for a project I'm working on called Road to the Pros. Its a reality show that follows several amateur fitness athletes during the last 8 weeks of prep prior to the NPC Nationals. Winners of this get a pro card. I.e. IFBB.

Check it out -- we're still building the whole project but part of it is to portray a positive view of women w/ muscle. These girls are amazing. (They're all sort of short, but that's just an issue I have w/ petite cute little ladies). But,

www.roadtothepros.com

Check the Athletes page & go look at the ladies we have so far.

BTW when does it air and what network will it be on?????

The off-season weights are interesting -- Heidi Fletcher is 4'11" & 120 lb off season. I'm 5'7" and I competed at 128 lb. Interesting how the numbers of "weight" appear.
