I was switching through the channels last night and came across this ducumentory on Discovery channel it was called Supersize She. Did anyone elese see it???? If so what did you think of it????

Here's my thoughts on it. Well first off it was about a woman from England that was competeing for the Miss Olympia title. She was huge and looked so much like a man. She had the veins and big bulges and her face looked more like a man than it should. They should a video of one of her first BB shoes and she was really pretty and looked good and came in first place. Now she's more man like and has a very deep voice sound much like a man.

They talked about steroid use and even though they didn't say right out that she took them they went around it. Saying you have to do what you have to do, to get the size they are demanding to compete.

I just in my opinion don't think that's the road I would take as it's has made her have more manly features. What do you all think about this????

Oh BTW her BF% was between 2 - 3 percent.

If I came across in this like I'm apose to steroid use, I'm not. I think that it as with everything has it's place in the world of BB.

Yeah, I have seen that as well. I guess if pure muscle size is what she is after....giving up femininity is fine for her....However, I don't think my boyfriend would be to keen on my voice sounding more like a mans than his does. Unfortunately for some women, they end up looking like a male crossdresser. To each his/her own!!!

I saw it & thought it did absolutely nothing for women's bodybuilding. It was basically a freak show that presented the image that all women bb's are "men" who have to do internet porn to make money. Their parents are ashamed or disappointed in them and the whole competitive sport is a waste because there's no money in it even for the winners.

i saw it and agree it only helped maintain a negative view of women's bodybuilding from the perspective of the general public. i found it interesting and the director/producer may have had the right intentions, but it was not done in the best interest of the sport

They ran it again the next night and my hubby started watching it. He called to me to come and see this cross dressing bb. I came in and told him it was a woman and he was no it's not look at her face that is a man.

I'm taking the road of diet and excercise!!!!!!

the girl in that show is Joanna Thomas. I know her from the gym & shes pretty cool. If she does use "supplimentation", she doesnt talk about it, but she has one of the hardest training routines Ive ever seen on a very strict diet.

I have alot of respect for someone that can do that, whether its natural or not :)

She said she's got scare tissue in her wrists from lifting such heavy weights. In the show you could tell she does train very hard.

I watch in awe when I watch female BB. I don't want to look like they do, but WOW!!!! My first contest as a spectator, Laura Crevale (sp) was a guest poser and she looked GREAT! I definitely respect what they want to achieve. I guess it's all in what you're shooting for.

I saw it too...was in the kitchen and just overhearing the tube...some "dude" talking about training and it being his life and this and that. Throwing out a few "amen brotha's" and "i hear that's" and "i feel ya, man's". Damned if I didn't turn around to see HER.

I was glued to the tube for the rest of the show.

Burned my g-dang chicken too.
