Diluting IGF-1 solution in the vial?

So the Igf-1 I have from ** (not IP) is 1000mcg in 1 ml.

It looks like at least 2-3 ml would fit in the vial. Why shouldn't I try injecting some bacteriostatic water into there so it's easier to measure out with slin needles?

Already going to try to find some .33cc pins.

I've done some more research snd BA is probably not ideal. I may be looking for acetic acid.

Anyone know how BA would do?

No BA, use Acetic Acid with Sodium chloride to dilute once in the pin...So just mix 1ml of Acetic Acid into the vial of IGF, draw up your desired amount and then draw in some Sodium Chloride to minmize the sting....

yes, .9% sodium chloride solution is what it is i believe, nothing stronger than that! it still stings depending on the concentration of the acetic acid solution though.

some kits i've found its best to mix 1/2ml of the aa solution and 1/2ml of sterile water, then mix with sodium chloride in the syringe

I've been interested in trying IGF-1, especially during my pct which is coming up here shortly. But everytime I read one of these threads about how you have to use the shit, it makes my head hurt and I tell myself it isn't worth the hassle.

Is it really this damn difficult to prepare, measure, and use?

no u have to buy the tniest insulin syringes possible (which are srprisingly cheap) an get used to taking miniscule amounts (like 2/100 of a cc)

where do I find these tiny syringes, I looked at get pinz smallest I saw were 29 1/2cc

I think a site called diabetic direct but I just picked up a 10-pack for $2.50. 31g. Just used the first one, so much easier to measure out two units! :)

Depending on which state you are located you may be able to just go the closest pharmacy and pick up a box without a script. Insulin syringes are not thightly regulated in most states although they are keep behind the counter. Just call them up and ask if you need to bring a script to get them.

the local pharm gives me the 3rd degree and are incompetent, as well as ill-stocked.

no its really not. it typically comes in a small vial with either powder (prefferable) or solution (only if you reallllyyy trust the source).

you mix it (or have it already reconstituted) with typically a 1ml solution...so you have 1000 mics per ml. then draw up the igf you want...then fill the rest of the syringe with bacteriostatic water...and bam, shove that mother right in the muscle.

If someone has a link to some good info why Acetic acid is better then BC water please PM it to me. I like to save all that stuff in my files.

Thanks!

It's probably not as difficult as I make it out to be in my head, especially once you have everything sitting in front of you so you can see what's goin on. Having never seen how the different solutions come and such, or never handling a slin needle, then just reading about everything makes it sound a tad bit confusing. I'll probably end up ordering some and giving it a try.

Its not difficult but you do need some basic understanding of what mcg and ml are. If you have the 1mg vial of powder, which I recommend, you inject 1ml of AA (can't tell about BA because everything says use AA). That gives you your concentrated solution of 1000mcg per 1ml IGF. Now whenever you take a dose (I will use 100mcg split into 2 shots a day as an example) you would pull 50mcg from the igf vial and then fill the rest of the syringe with .9 NaCl to dilute and take out some of the sting. You now ready to inject. Then repeat the same for your second dose. Keep your IGF solution in the fridge. Obviously the amount you pull from the IGF vial is very small so the smaller the syringe the better for accurate measuring. Clear as mud.
