I have dieted down before and am not new to it, however ive made some mistakes like im sure we all have at one point in time and was hoping to get a few things clear. Currently im about 171 lbs, 5'7 1/2 13-14 % bf and would like to diet down for the summer as i feel i put on a good bit of mass ( and some fat that id most certainly like to remove) and start to bulk again in september. A good friend of mine who competes naturally told me to eat roughly 2050 cals, about 210g of protein, 195g of carbs, and 45 g of fat from day 1. However as i get lighter i should decrease my calories, but should i alter any of the P/F/Carbs? I know that if i stagnate down the road i should lower the carbs to lose more fat, and to carb up every 4-5 days, im used to eating more protein but he told me and i have read extra protein just converts to glucose ( which im not 100% sure of ). If it helps, very soon i will be using some clen, so that i can keep a bit more muscle this time around. For those who have taken clen before, is there a time where you did your cardio besides in the morning on an empty stomache? Also after cardio if you do have a shake do you wait about 30 minutes?
