Food has a lot of social connection as well as emotional connection so it is very hard to just make it a necessary part of life and not something you actually try to enjoy.... (like this is really a bad thing.... but it would make dieting a lot easier).
I can go weeks at a time eating the same thing (variations of meals, etc. but same content) with absolutely no interest except getting the necessary fuel I need for more efficient work outs, fat processing, etc. But then one day, for some reason, I just can't take it anymore. Can't look at another chicken, ready to launch Dr. Udo out the window, can't even digest broccoli without aromatically announcing it to the world -- then in steps that evil urge to not just stand in line at Dairy Queen, but to actually set up camp underneath their frozen ice cream dispenser within arms reach of the chocolate sauce. Then the extreme behavior steps in -- just as being able to eat the same menu for weeks at a time seems "extreme" the need for something completely "bad" exists in the same extreme manner.
Damn, maybe we should locate a behavior specialist to add to our arsenal of experts here. We could offer diet behavior therapy!
