Diet and strength

Hi,
I am starting a low carb Atkins type diet. Can I expect to loose strength on a diet like this? If so, is there any particular low carb food I can eat to prevent this from happening?

There isn't a low carb food that will give you the energy of a carb meal.

You'll probably feel like shit for a week or so. But just hang in there.

yes, expect to lose strength. You should pick up some type of ECA while you are on this diet. It will greatly help with energy levels, and if you come off the eca at the same time you re introduce carbs into the diet, you should have enough new energy to aid in the transition w/o any more diet pills.

i use eggs and penut butter for my energy i find it gives me lots of lasting energy, pb isnt ok on a ckd i heard but the eggs should be fine. be sure to get some carbs, make them high quality cal's

if you can eat nuts, go that route. The fat keeps you full-- and there is some energy there. I am also thinking about coconut oil--because of medium chain triglycerides and the energy you can get from them. This used to be the way to quick energy without carbs. Anybody shed some more light on this?
