Did the dumbest thing in the gym last night...

when i was in highschool this dude was trying to bench 315 with a spotter on each side. he got it half way up, then one side went down and all the weights fell off, then the end of the bar with out the weights flew strait up and hit the spotter in the mouth and knocked out 4 of his teeth. made me cringe.

u get enough people together with enough weight and eventually someone is going to get hurt. i cannot imagine hitting my mouth in anyway. that must hurt like hell!!

lol since we're sharing stupid moments

DB bench, went to set up the dumbells to rock back onto the bench,, unfirtunately for some inane reason i had my body at an angle and ended up doing a full backwards roll of the bench with two dumbells in my hand :insane:

"The main reason I started growing a goatee is because I use to scrape my chin with the bar when doing inclines and it would scrape the skin...lol... "

shiat. does it get any more hardcore?

So I am doing standing militaries and went to give a little leg push on the last rep and caught the bar under the chin on the explode up - chipped two teeth and loosened one. Man that hurt! Nothing like slamming your mouth shut with all your might...what a spaz

A kid I am coaching did almost the exact same thing Monday night. Except he caught a jerk right under the chin. So not only was the bar moving rather fast, he was headed down when he caught it. Fortunately he had his mouthguard in and his teeth tightly clenched.

picturing that, would be quite impressive actually. you could tell people it was an ab exercise and you'd see people rolling all over the gym with dumbbells in hand...haha

Anyone remember the pics of me making a seated pulley row machine...and it breaking on my third set and me flying across the room???

OK, first time I did pullovers, I grabbed a dumbell that was too heavy. So when I layed down on the bench and extended my arms back, I ended up flipping myself over.

I was benching without any collars once. It was a monday, and every bench was taken, except for the one that was slightly off balance. So, like a dumbass I decided I'd use it anyway. It wasn't long before one of the weights slid off. Then the chain reaction starts, and everything comes off.

The first time I was on a treadmill, like an idiot, I decided to see how fast it could go. So I cranked it up to the max. Next thing I know, I'm sailing half way across the gym.

I was inclining without a spotter once. Well, I couldn't get the weight up, and had to set it down in my lap. There wasn't anyone around (it was midnight), so I figure I'll just lift it off my lap and set it down. Let me tell you, doing a 205lb upright row, while seated is not the best thing for your wrists. I ended up spraining both of them.
