My Dad just recently found out that he has diabetes. He also has had high blood preasure and cholesterol problems, and just recently had his galbladder removed. He's having trouble with his diet because he can't have many carbs due to his sugar levels, but he can't have much protein due to gout and high blood preasure. I thought that maybe he could take a hydroxy-citric acid supplement and be able to eat more carbs. Would that work? Is there anything that i seem to be overlooking? This freaks me out a little because he has always seemed to be healthy, at least on the outside.
