Ronnie just didn't bring it this year his mid section and back were smooth. He had a great run though.

Agreed... but I figured the politics would over run that.

I'm VERY surprized and glad at the same time... finally... Jay has his Year!!
 
Victor looked great this year honestly better the Ronnie IMO. Very happy with Melvin's placing he is one of my favorite BB he has such a great shape to him and still has that tiny littly waist.
 
ronnie looks dryer in those pre-judging pics.. no one else really looks dry enough.. but god damn, cutler really brought the size... his lats have really blown up.

gunter is just too massive.
 
ronnies arms are wwayyy more vascular then anyone else's.... his back looked smooth i thought

not gunna comment on anyones stomachs lol

I think Maritinez or Dexter should hgave taken it if Coleman didn't. His abs were soft I think that's the only reason he lost. And it's better for publicity if they throw a twist in the mix.

EXACTLY!!! Its about time this happened because I believe it was atleast 3 times that JAY won but wasnt declared the winner! I feel like a proud father right now. lol

Me too! I was looking at pics and I could see huge improvements in Jay and Ronnie looked watery but dethroning a current Mr, Olympia???? Never happens! Wrong I was. I figured they would give it to Ronnie and this would be his last year. Wow! Jay is the man! Always liked him because he kept it real and knew he owed his sucess finanicially to his fans. Way to go Jay!

I had the same experience with Jeff "the box" Long in the 90's. Middleweight division, he earned his pro card there.

Politics still decide. You figured right. Coleman didn't make a new deal with Wieder. He has his own deal now. It was inevitable and I thought it would happen last year when Coleman started making deals for his line of supplements. I'm sure Coleman knew it going in.

So why does anyone give a shit about the Olympia if Weider dictates everything? (from a fans standpoint)

What are the "unbiased" competitons?

i know but by modern standards i think ronnie was the freak that set the bar another notch higher, for better or worse, and nothing against jay. so i was more comfortable with his dominance than say, lee haney's. i guess it was a fix i could live with kinda like when arnold dominated.

personally like most everyone i preferred the 70s physiques but thats another topic

So that's how moses looked! No wonder the Pharaoh let his people go! You could say that the Pharaoh was tired of "weidering" around for another plague. I didnt know that coleman is Jewish. Maybe he lost because he was tired and fasting for Yom Kippur.

The Arnold is a much better Competition. Olympia has always been too political from what I can see.
