Desperate!! Please help!

Hey guys and gals,
I need some serious help here. I just won a very important competition and will be competing for a spot which will lead to a contract. There is alot of amazing talent as welll as images but it is being narrowed down rapidly. I did not make it this far to lose now, but I need to work on my image. I have an amazing voice but how can I compete with these Brittany and JLO wannabes?
I am currently 5'9" and weigh 183 pounds. My body fat is high (35-38% ?? - I have not taken it for awahile). I have just started weight trainging and dieting but I only have until January so I need miracles here!

I currenlty do 1 hour of cardio before I eat in the morning 4 days a week(to maximize fat loss). I do basic toning and conditioning for each muscle group 2 times a week. I also use some fitness videos about 4 times a week in the evening. I have reduceed my diet to about 1300 calories a day. with about 200 grams of carbs and 60 grams of fat. I am taking clen and flaxseed oil right now.
Also, what can or should I cycle on my clen off time?

What pointers or advice can anybody offer?

Also, what can I take while I am off of clen? I was thinking Didrex or Bontril. 2 weeks clen, then 2 weeks Didrex or Bontril, then back to clen etc....

That is what I needed to know. It may sound silly, but carb rotating is new to me... but makes great sense and I will adopt that practice. As far as how many calories I am burning, I need to and will start keeping better track and do some more homework.

Congrats on that win! A good friend of mine is a professional opera singer. I watcher her sing in a competition hosted by the Metropolitan opera & a few of the sopranos she competed against were about 300# at 5'5" - but opera is a little different from pop singing.

As far as miracles for your image - my first suggestion is a professional makeover & hair.. but I would bet you've done that already. I'm always amazed how perfectly tailored clothes, & pro makeup & hair can totally transform a person.

As for clen - I don't use it either, so I don't know, but definitely do a search for it- there's lots of great info on Elite.

OK, as for a 'miracle', well I'm sure you know to stay away from AS (anabolics steroids) as they could potentially lower your voice & the effect is permanent. As for fast weight loss - the problem is that if you cut your caloric intake too low, you risk 1. Losing muscle 2. Slowing your metabolism (as a result of lost muscle, but also b/c of your body adapting to low cals).

In your case, if you want to risk that & be a bit extreme, just be sure in Jan you come off the low cal diet carefully & then even out with a more moderate, healthy approach. Def try carb rotating & cal rotating (eat more carbs/cals on the days you lift heavy).

LIFT HEAVY, use free weights (they work the muscle more than machines/superior work), eat clean, try some hi-intensity intervals as well for cardio, & do NOT waste your time with light weights/toning. I'm an aerobics instructor & sometimes teach those types of classes. That's not going to help you in your goal.

I will use your advice and hit the weights heavier as well as getting complimenting clothes and a makeover. Can anyone else help with the cycling of any thermals such as clen and Bontril etc...?
 
Hi songbird you will find lots of good info here. Did I notice that your current diet contains no Protein??????

Hope you will follow Spatts suggestions. Food is the magic. Lift heavy you are a big girl! Muscle gives us girls shape. NO little wts or high reps is gonna get you where you need to be.

Good Luck and honestly the Diet is no. 1, the drugs may or may not help, but I would bet that by getting your food in order the wt will come off. Protein is thermogenic .-Valerie
