Design my Personal Trainer Business Card

Help from all the creative minds..........

I have been personal training off and on for quite a few years whenever I can fit in along with my competition bodybuilding shows. I am in the process of putting together a new business card to promote my service. Could you provide me with ideas on what it should say and what it should look like? Here are some of the points I may want the card covey:

1) I would like to include a picture of myself such as the one I have of on my Avatar and I would like to convey that it's me and not a picture I got from.... the internet.

2) I would like to emphasize training for bodybuilding and physical transformation/fat loss. This is not your typical "Richard Simmons" training program. (Nothing against the dude.)

3) Refer to diet and nutrition as a key point.

4) Need it to be extremely motivating and uplifting that will attract people.

5) I want the card to convey absolute successful result with my program.

6) Perhaps mentioning contest prep would be an excellent selling point.

This is just what comes to mind. Can you think of a good way to design such a business card?

Any examples or input especially from experienced trainers will be appreciated.

Thats seems like a lot of stuff to fit on a business card...

Ever think of making one of those mini-cdRom business cards that people can put in their computer? You could have all your stuff laid out in a Flash movie or some kinda interactive thing.

Probably more expensive, but i dont know about that kinda stuff.

I would do a stylized version of you on the card (not a back shot) that looks more like artwork with the name of your biz and a phone number/email. People wont use you because of a flashy card, they will use you because you look like you know what you are doing based on your physique. My $.02

I agree with you. But, can you explain more about what you mean with stylized version? Are you a trainer? Can you show me some examples maybe?

Thank you.

I think maybe what he means by stylized is make your photo look less like something in a magazine, and something more like a photo a professional photographer would take for her book.

Just something more professional looking than a photo that says "Hey, look at my muscles, ha ha, i said muscles"

For a photo of you on your card, I would try and get a pro photographer or someone good to shoot you in a nice backdrop like the beach or somethin with a classic pose.

Well... I can't take photos now as I am on my off season with no tan and more fat. Therefore, I may just do with what I got for now. I may use the attached ab shot since it also shows my face.

I still can't decide on a catchy name for my business to include at top of my card. I think It's wise to keep it simple with name on top, color picture on left, and 3 to 4 main dots such as:

Physical Transformation/Fat loss
Diet and Nutrition
Contest preperation

Right below that is my phone number and email address.

That's all I can think of... Anything else?
