Deadlifting

I'm only deadlifting like 210 at max is it still plausible?

EDIT: Okay thanks I posted this before your post above mine but it came out after.

If you are pulling 210 lbs as a max, I wouldn't worry about using a belt. Just think about getting stronger.

Id say only use if the movement is straining ur low back. Even then thats a sign that u need to work on some low back and core strength. i can pull 450+ from the floor. never used a belt for deads. i have a few times with squats, my low back used to hurt when i did squats but i never did deads. now that i do them both weekly i dont have low back pains.

Nah thats the max that I rep. Not my max weight lift. Thanks for all the help guys I really just started loving deadlift. Cept for my hands getting all messed up while doing them.

I've bitched about that too on here. You will honestly get used to it after a while- in my short time deadlifting I've had 2 bloody callouses.

Keep doing it up and good luck!

i supposed it depends on the person. i can squat and dead pretty heavy for my age and size and i havent used a belt or anything since highschool. I pulled 515 on thursday with just chalk. felt good.
