deadlifting blows

pulled 365 tonight... had trouble locking it out..

just wasnt feling it tonight..

anyways its the most i've ever pulled without hitching (by 30lbs)... cause my 360 contest dead had a little hitch... so a 30lbs PR isnt bad..

but im dissapointed.

You'llget no sympathy from me. When I was your age I was lucky to pick up a collar off the floor.

Fuck you bro, seriously...:bawling:

Hey Deceiver,

You gotta fix your attitude -- a thirty lb PR is great.... nothing at all to be disappointed about.

You were disappointed about a bench PR the other day too.

You're young and you have some great numbers, but those 20 or 30 PRs every time you max out when you start lifting, they dont' last for long. So enjoy them while you're getting them.

im just disappointed becasue a month ago i pulled 360 with just a little hitch... and now i can only pull 365 w/o a hitch... i was just aiming higher ..

Man -- you have your whole life to do this. Relax, and enjoy your time getting there. It took me 2 years to go from a 655 to 661 pull. 2 years!! A month is nothing in the big sheme of things. I can't tell you how many times in that 2 years I dropped 661 -- at least 6 times a lockout. It also took me 4 years to go from a 640 sq to 700+ and 405 bench to 500+. Like I said -- you have a long time ahead of you so enjoy it now.

im definately enjoying it....

i just dont enjoy it when i dont do as well as i expected.. im disapointed.. but its not like im not happy..

I looked at the video of the lift, and here's what I would say...

I know some guys are telling you to drop your ass more, but I think this is more preference. You're lanky, so use your height to your advantage.

I think your biggest problem by far is the 20 sec you were down on the bar just adjusting yourself to lift it.

Get down there and pick the damn thing up. Get yourself tight too before you bend over, try to keep that arch as you pull it off the floor (even if you lose it) cause it will keep you tighter.

Then just explode that shit up.
