DBol and Benzodiazepenes

Here's a new one....

I just got under the iron again after a year hiatus. I am doing an 8-week cycle of DBol (Russian) orals, entering my second week. I am supplementing it with the customary diet and supplements (19-NorAndro and Andro) as well as Noxaldex.

I take Ativan (a benzodiazapene, like Valium or Xanax) as needed for occasional anxiety attacks. While I have a little tolerance to these drugs, I noticed that they have NO effect now. I hate to sound like a junkie, but I swallowed 30 mg of Valium and it had NO effect.

Has anyone noticed this before?

I am asssuming that the d-bol is causing an increase in your anxiety, hence the higher tolerance. My recomendation would be to "suck it up" for the eight weeks and deal with the anxiety, rather than find yourself addicted to benzo's when the eight weeks is over.

I would not continuosly take those high doses due to the fact that when your done with the DBOL your body will have built up a tolerance to that high dose. Let me tell you something..You do not want to go through a BENZO withdrawel, its very long, painful and mentally disturbing.....I would lay off them for the cycle and only use if necessary. If you are taking them e/d than dont just stop continue the reccomended dose, but if you take tham when needed wait till the end of your cycle so you dont swallow the whole bottle..

No pain no gain right?

Its probably a good idea. The biggest problem is coming home and dealing with two kids under 5 years old. Sometimes the little buggers make me want to rip their head off. Don't worry, no pending case of patricide here.

They are as needed. I agree, I understand addiction very well. Besides, why waste the supply if it isn't going to work anyhow.

I was just curious if there was some known interaction...the PDR doesn't exactly provide a lot of details on DBOL - NVDX - Benzos - Methylphenidate interaction. Yes, I am a good case for rad rage though!

your liver enzymes are most likely raised, depending on how long/mg-amount of dbol you have been using. hence, your liver enzymes are breaking the benzo's down faster.

here is a trick that a wise man by the name of Ulter figured out (I think it was him?). grapefruit juice prior to taking any 17-AA steroid or benzo will effect an enzyme to your advantage, alllowing a substantial more of the substance to survive the pass(s) through the liver. the result, more active substance in your blood.

i think, if im not mistaken that 4oz of grapefruit juice taken 10min. before dbol will allow 139% more active substance into your system

Machiavelli, sorry to be the spoiler, but Ulter was definitely not the first, second, third, etc... to realize that grapefruit juice decreases the liver's breakdown and inactivation of D-bol and benzo's thus prolonging their potency and effects. Grapefruit juice has been a well known and established inhibitor of the cytochrome P-450 enzyme as well as other enzymes which are responsible for the metabolism of just about all drugs and so forth for some time.

Grapefruit juice as well as others are even listed in the PDR as certain drug inducers that are metabolized by those enzymes in the liver in which they inhibit. Even numerous junkies such as heroine\opiate addicts have been aware for years of grapefruit juices, as well as things like tagamet and ketanzocole (Nizoral) abilities to prolong the effects of drugs in addition to increasing their potency and effects for longer periods of time before a higher tolerance becomes inevitable. So don't be so quick to throw credit, where it's not due. This is in no way an attack on Ulter, but just a correction to a blind statement.

Thanks Organ....I appreciate the explanation, it makes sense to me. I guess its time to hit the Giant at lunchtime and pick up a bunch of G'fruit juice.
