Dang my ass hurts..abscess? (test E)

On my 3rd week of Test E @ 250mg/week and last shot was Saturday morning. My glute still hurts and the site where I injected is red and somewhat firm/hard. It is raised ever so slightly.

I did proper injection techniqe, using alcohol, aspirating, massaging, etc... I used a 1.5" 23g needle, alternating sites.

The first 2 shots my glute was pretty darn sore for a few days but then went away. I also noticed it was somewhat red around the site and a little firm but that also went away by the end of the week. It seems similar to what is going on now but the site is harder and more red than previous shots. I can't remember if it was this bad for the first two shots. I don't have problems sitting or anything, but I don't want to wait till it gets worse.

Could this be an abscess or the start of one? I've never used test before, and besides being sore, I'm guessing it's not supposed to feel like this...Any tips or advice? Should I just go to a doctor and have it looked at asap?

Its pretty normal for some. My ass is hurting like hell as I sit here and type this. Inject after a shower, swab, hold the pin STILL, inject SLOW and thats all you can do. Oh and massage well after injecting.

if it is swelling get some antibiotics and it will help get rid of that.

that has happened to me before, it wasn't an abcess. I think some of oil didn't go deep enough. Take a really a hot shower and put the stream of hot water where it hurts and massage it. Thats what I did, I feel it helped.

hey dude, i agree with chestmaster just take a hot shower letting the water warm up the inj. site the massage it HARD! to help break up the ball. are you warming up the vial? if not try hot tap water in a cup place the vial in there to let the test warm up then load and shoot, it'll be alot smoother. for me glutes, quads it's all the same happens everytime no matter the lab. even had a high fever a couple of times but it'll pass you can bet on it, in the end(of your cycle)if youre doing it right it'll be worth it! hang in there bro.

Yeah gear with high BA can do that to you bro. It doesn't neccessarily mean it is an abscess. If it is an abscess it will hurt very bad and spread very fast and develop a whitehead. I have had bad shots before and never had an abscess.

thanks for all the suggestions guys...I just massaged it pretty darn hard in a hot shower so we'll see! I take all necessary precautions when injecting so let's hope it pays off!

dont use heat thats all i can say... you need to use ice to drop the swelling.... alternate ice then heat

Cook your test in the oven for 30 minutes at 220 degrees,


Place an 18 g needle in the vial so it does not explode,

Simply place the vial on the rack in the oven, not a metal pan.

Let it cool, for at least 5-6 hours.


Your pain will be gone.

Dude what you need to do is to pierce the skin SLOWLY at a snails pace, and then inject SUPER SLOWLY also at a snails pace and then pull out SUPER SLOWLY also at a snails pace.

Only that will guarantee that you get 0 pain 0 swelling 0 blood 0 soreness EXCEPT for mild very mild soreness from the oil in the inject site, which goes away very quick and doesnt hurt at all.

If you do it quick u will hit a nerve a vein or something and rupture something in there that will cause swelling lump and massive pain.

Wow, never heard of that before... Just put the needle in the vial and put it in the oven on a pan for 30 minutes? Will a 23g needle suffice?

zk7. you're a moron. Please don't give advice. It doesn't matter how slow you inject. You still may go through a blood vessel. I inject very slowly and out of the 20 injects in my ass, 4 times i hit a blood vessel. one time i got a HUGE sore lump.

Also if the needle gets bacteria on it you risk pain and infection.

A 23 g needle will work also You simply don’t want the bottle to expand and the stopper in the cap (the rubber) to pop out, this would contaminate your gear.

No you are the Moron. You shouldn't give advice you idiot. Doing it slow is always a smart idea and may reduce the chances of hitting a blood vessel or hitting a nerve or anything. Because as you go in slowly and you feel pain, you stop you move a bit and you continue the piercing and further more, you probably are not even wiping the needle or the site with an alcohol swab. Do you even clean your hands before injecting?

Also, why always inject in your ass? ROTATE and focus on thighs/quads and stuff and glutes, large muscle groups.

AND THIS IS PRECISELY WHY you should TAKE LONG ACTING ESTERS, so you inject as LITTLE AS POSSIBLE, only once a week to MINIMIZE the chances of getting an infection or abscess. One inject a week, will minimize your chances. Daily injections, increases your chances despite your sanitary methods.

Also one more thing, THE BIGGER the needle pin size is, the more chances you may hit a blood vessel. If your needle pin is so small like an 25 gauge one, it will slip right through without wrecking havoc. So why not inject with a 25 Gauge one? Draw with 18 and inject with 25.

Well bro, you have a decision to make since its BD test E. Option 1 is to suck it up, shoot the gear and limp severely because of excruciating pain for a week after each shot..... or option 2 throw it the F*ck out!

You will hear many people reply to your thread and say suck it up, or your injecting it right..... BUT trust me, I've used it and every shot seemed to get worse and worse to the point where its was no longer worth the pain for the gains.
