I took this protein and go t zits al over my back. So whats in proteins that give me zits on my back and shoulders?? this happened last time and i stopped and the zits went away, so its gotta be the protein

mmmmm

that sounds very hard for me to believe. I am not implying u are wrong or anything, but are there any other factors that started or stopped at the same time?

I just don't see protein causing acne, whatever the form.

switch brands and see if it happens... I was taking some cheap chocolate GNC protein a couple of years ago that really made my shoulders break out... I switched up and cleared up...

I've actually heard this before. Some people get zits from high ampounts of vitamins/multivitamines. Check your proteinpowder and see if it contains something that you do not eat/get in higher amounts from food. There might be something in the proteinpowder that make you react like this. Try another proteinpowder, this is my advice.

Thanks guys, and woonaki... which brand did you switch to? Because this brand was a cheap on also. I guess when it comes to supplements you get what you pay for.

The only ways I can see this happening is if:

1. You are allergic to something in the particular brand (in which case switch brands).

2. You were in such a caloric deficit that hormonal function was being suppressed. By adding the extra calories from protein (if in fact you did not factor that into your daily intake and it did force you hypercaloric) you may have reached a caloric level at which you body now is able to function hormonaly and you are just experienceing a hormonal response.

The later is less likely so just try switching brands

cheap brand, cheap stuff

try a reputable brand

I can just imagine the muscletech ads now......muscletech 143749578X better and won't give you zits.

That is not true.

I can say that he might have an allergy but otherwise it might just be external factors. I.E. test or dbol; or some people take other foods w/ protein that cause this.
