Dairy products and yogurt

I see all the time that dairy products are bad for us, and that milk will increase estrogen and carbs in our diet. But is yogurt as bad as milk for one's health? It is supposed to be beneficial, but now I don't know.

THe problem with dairy products is that they contain lactose. Lactose is the milk sugar naturally occurring in dairy products. The majority of adult humans have a lactose sensitivity which can cause GI issues like gas, bloating and diarrhea.

Rather then consume dairy products, I would use a high quality whey protein isolate instead. You get the beneficial high quality dairy proteins, with none of the sugar of fat found in dairy.

When purchasing a whey protein isolate you want to see nothing in the ingredients list besides whey protein isolate, natural flavours, a natural calorie free sweetener like stevia and maybe some salt, cocoa powder and soy lecithin.

I personally use the whey protein powder isolation from n2bm.com. A 30g scoop has 26g protein, 1g carbs and 0g fat.

A good yogurt can be indeed beneficial for bringing in some good lacto-bacteria into your body, and you need those for good stomach functioning. But you do not need to eat a lot of yogurt for that, and with a little bit each day you should have plenty. As with everything else - moderation is the key.

a good quality grassfed greek yogurt has health benefits

but most yogurts you buy from the store are shit. the ones that have fruit on the bottom are the worst of all. you always see overweight women buying those thinking they are healthy, they are not!

Not everyone responds to dairy problems negatively. Some people are lactose intolerant and have digestion issues, some people start retaining water.

For others its completely fine, as long as the macros of the dairy products are good

I would just go with a good quality Greek yogurt. I don't really consume dairy that often because I get bloated. Whey concentrate also gives me the shits. That is from the lactose.
