"Renal failure, kidney failure"
So i have been having pains in my stomach and the started to get worse so I went to the ER, thè ran blood test and found out I have acute renal kidney failure. My blood protein level was at 1450 and normal levels ate between 70-450 I believe he said.
Now question to you guys, was cycling the cause of this? Doc said I'm working out too much? But I'm only lifting 5 days a week.
I was supposed to start pct few days ago but haven't because of this occurrence, also because doc said no gym for two weeks? What do I do.

Tell your doc that you were on steroids so you get proper medical attention. Renal faikure is nothing to fuck around with - those things are essential organs. Getting treated by a doctor that doesnt know the full story because you are withholding information is a terrible idea.

Stop taking any steroids or anything that will fuck your liver or kidneys drink a shit ton of water and tell your doctor everything you've taken ever

Well great, I don't have a family doctor, it was a ER doctor who treated me, I have to get more blood drawn tomorrow. Then i have a appointment on the 15th with a doc at a clinic. So I'll let him know then

I've ran way worse cycles then you bro and my kidneys are fine. I'm guessing you had some underlying issues and the steroids were the icing on the cake. Tell the docs exactly what you were doing and follow their advice. Don't fuck around and don't take anything else without having a clean bill of health. Your gonna lose your gains but better then your life. In the future when your 100% then you can worry about getting back to your current level. Follow the docs advice.

Honestly don't know those, only one the doc showed me was "blood protein" I think is what he said

Obviously there was some reason he said you have renal failure but dude....you gotta get a look at the rest of your blood work. Demand a fucking copy of it bro. Its your shit. Does your piss smell funny??

After knee surgery i was taking celebrex. As directed not overdoing it. But in a few weeks it really fucked with my kidneys. fortunatley i got bloods done before my script refill and caught that my creatinine levels went from middle to over top of the range. range is like 0.0-1.4 they were 1.7 . they eventually came back down to 1.3 but they have not gone lower since 2009.
When my levels were fucked up my piss started to smell fucked up. Like chemical-ish wierd smell.
Do you have anything like that?

Yeah people die from renal kidney failure. It's a painful death by self poisoning. That's how my dad died. They had him on so much morphine.

Wait a second???

What doctor with a patient presenting with abdominal pain, high protien levels and who knows what else abnormal in the blood panel will discarge? Not to mention a diagnosis of renal kidney failure!! I would go to a specialist asap. Don't fuck with this. Like today.

Did he give you any interventions? Pain management? What stage failure are/were you in?

^^^ this

Bro - something does not add up here. I work in Health Care and I have worked extensively with Kidney disease management programs. I'm not a Dr, but I know how the disease works and how Dr's treat it.

1st of all, no Dr would diagnose you with Acute Renal Failure and then discharge you from the ER. This can be a FATAL condition if not treated. Did they give you a dialysis treatment in the ER? Also, blood protein is not the key lab value that diagnose kidney problems (more so for liver problems)....It is a factor, sure, but if they didn't give you an GFR/EGFR (which measures creatinine levels in the blood) then his diagnoses holds no weight.

There is not enough information here to properly help you, but if you have a kidney problem of this magnitude you need to see a Nephrologist ASAP and I mean now. Acute Renal Failure can lead to full blown ESRD and then you'll find yourself in a dialysis chair for 14-18 hours every week for the rest of your life; not to mention a much shorter life expectancy in general.

Be completely honest with your Nephrologist when you see him....it is imperative he has all the info as to why your body may be f'ed up so he can properly treat you. Losing some gains is much less important than losing the function of your kidneys and possibly your life. Not trying to be over dramatic here, but dude, you need some clarity here from your Dr because the implications of what he is saying you have are serious.

Is it safe to assume you didnt do regular pre and post cycle blood work? If you did you would know where things started and ended instead of guessing if its a problem caused by or simply exacerbated by AAS use..

I'm an RN on a nephrology ward and waco_kid is right, you need additional lab values to indicate acute renal injury. No MD should have discharged you from ER with that diagnosis, you should have gone straight to a renal ward to get proper treatment and medication which in most cases can quickly stop the damage that is happening and get the kidney working properly again. Acute kidney injury can progress to end stage renal failure which is bad, bad, bad. Your high blood protein level may mean you were only dehydrated. Significant enough dehydration can lead to decreased urine output which can lead to the kidney being unable to properly filter the blood. The treatment in that case would have been hydration, either by drinking water or IV fluids. I very much doubt your cycle could have caused any AKI type of situation.

This along win wacky kid's comments..........that's why I mentioned creatinine bro. Something isn't right. Don't ever just take a doctors word for it ever.

Well here's what Going on.
My diagnosis on the paper says this.

Diagnosis: renal insufficiency "renal failure, kidney failure"

In the ER, the doctor ran blood tests came back and personally showed me blood protein level, and how ridiculously high it was. So I stayed got 2 Iv bags done, then left. He told me tuesday being today, I need to go get more blood drawn for more specific testing on the kidneys. So I'm currently here right now waiting to get more drawn. Then thursday I have a fallow up with a doctor.

Seriously.....creatinine? No one mentioned that shit? Nice smart ER doc.

If it were me i would see a specialist, dr's spend too much time running tests while the problem gets worse.

Medical guys correct me if I'm wrong here but isn't creatinine the one most indicitive factor in kidney damage? What the fuck is wrong with this asshole doctor.

Just learned about this today in immuno..creatinine n creatinine clearance is the test. So yes, those levels should be mentioned- they're the big factor
If kidney doesn't work, creatinine in blood goes way up

You are correct My friend, thats why in my field he should find a specialist,If your creatinine level is higher than 7.1, then it indicates that you are suffering Kidney Failure. In normal case, creatinine level should be lower than 1.4. Now your creatinine level is 7.1 which is over five times than the normal range; so it tells that you need dialysis or kidney transplant.

Creatinine level helps to reflect kidney functions and usually, the higher the creatinine is, the poorer the kidney functions are. With extremely high creatinine level, you must be eager to the methods of lowering creatinine. Usually, there are several ways which can help to reduce creatinine in the blood:
● Reducing meat and protein intake, we can lower our creatinine level slightly. Creatinine comes from meat eaten by us; so when we reduce meat intake, generation of creatinine will be reduced and consequently, creatinine level decreases. Besides, our kidneys are in charge of excreting protein, so through reducing protein intake, heavy renal burden can be reduced, which is helpful to protect our healthy kidney functions. Therefore, as long as we avoid worsening kidney damages, creatinien level does not increase.
● Reducing physical activity also help to lower creatinine level. Besides meat eaten by us, our muscle is another source of creatinine; that is to say, if we do lots of physical activities someday, our creatinine level will increase slightly; so to achieve the purpose of lowering creatinine level, avoiding drastic physical activities will be helpful. In addition, if your creatinine level has increased to 7.1, which indicates that your illness condition is relatively serious. Under such a circumstance, you need to have good rest and avoid being tired.
● Effective treatment for Kidney Failure help to reduce creatinine in the blood. We know creatinine level increases just because kidneys are failed in excreting excessive creatinine. When effective treatment is given, kidney functions recover, which allows excessive creatinine level to be excreted timely and as a result of this, creatinine level decreases naturally.
All these methods are effective in lowering creatinine level; but for a kidney failure patient whose creatinine level is 7.1, it is far from enough for him to lower creatinine level just through adjusting diet and reducing physical activities. If he wants to his creatinine level effectively and quickly, the most and only suitable way is to receive effective treatment for kidney failure.
At present, the most popular treatment for kidney failure is Immunotherapy.

After that month of celebrex I mentioned earlier my creatinine was 1.7 and my doc was royally freaking out. It took 6 mos to come back to 1.3.

He should have been, This Dr is lollylagging running tests when he should have done the obvious, He's no kidney specialist thats for sure!

Or this kid is trolling. I find it hard to believe the hospital let him walk out in kidney failure. Tje more i think about it tje less sense this pist makes.

Apology accepted.

Now anyways, should I start my pct? Should I wait? What should I do there?

Well, either way you have some kind of something going on medically. I hope it turns out as most of us think...which is that high blood protein can be just that....high blood protein from eating a ton. I cant believe this fucking faggot didnt run a simple ass CBC to check your goddamn actual liver function. I've literally been pissed about this bro since you said he showed you the "blood protein" and said your in renal failure. Creatinine will tell the story bro.

ANyways....your close to the end now anyways. I figure better safe than sorry. I would just start PCT. Make sure you hound these fuckers for your results. Even over the phone. Make them at least give you creatine, creatinine, BUN, Liver enzymes.
If they did cholesterol and triglycerides AND you didnt fast for 14 hours then the results of lipids will be seriously skewed.

You definitely need to follow up (hound) the docs for proper lab results and a proper diagnoses....I suspect that you do not have renal failure because you wouldn't be typing on this board....you would be in severe discomfort / pain at best and dead at worst.....if it was Acute, then yeah, it is possible it was a temporary failure and they kicked back in after your IV treatments....never the less, you need to make sure you get this sorted out and if it was me I would try to escalate this to the hospital management because this is not a small matter we have here...mis-diagnoses is a HUGE problem in the medical community, and while in some cases it may be in avoidable, mis-diagnosing Acute Renal Failure is simply unacceptable.....it is a simple test....GFR or EGFR (which is creatinine in the blood).....draw bloods or urine, see that value on the scale, diagnose for CKD 1-5, ESRD, or Acute....it is really as simple as that for Kidney Disease. There are several more lab values that are relevant here but kidney disease is diagnosed and scaled by the GFR.

I agree with BTC above - I have been thinking about this post and your story every since I first read it and it frustrates the hell out of me to say the least.

So again, I suspect you don't have Failure but never the less you should follow up. I'm not sure about your PCT but if it was me I'd completely stop everything and wait. Cripes it shoudl only take a Day or 2 to get a proper diagnoses...then you can proceed with the correct information and make an educated choice on your cycle.

I would also strongly consider going to a different Dr and just telling him you want your kidney panel pulled and get a second opinion. I suspect you were just dehydrated which spiked your blood protein levels. Ironically, a high protein diet is not the cause of high blood protein....contrary to common belief

How long were you experiencing symptoms before you ended up in the ER? couple days? weeks? months?

I agree on alot of this, I would not Do PCT until you have more tests ran and see where you stand, the last thing at the moment you need is more drugs (PCT) but lots of water/rest is a must.
I assume you're at home now? To me you should be in the hospital, are you having any of the following symptioms?
Little or no urine when you urinate.
Swelling, especially in your legs and feet.
Not feeling like eating.
Nausea and vomiting.
Feeling confused, anxious and restless, or sleepy.
Pain in the back just below the rib cage. This is called flank pain.
Some people may not have any symptoms. And for people who are already quite ill, the problem that's causing the kidney failure may be causing other symptoms.
This is very fustrating , but i would still seek another Dr's opinion unless you trust this Dr and used him before. I had to have an X ray done of my neck 2 weeks ago i sat in the Dr's office 3 hrs before i got any information that nothing was wrong. Rediculous!

He is on cycle his liver enzymes are going to come back fucked up unless he is taking something like N2 Guard to help it.

He needs not just more extensive bloodwork, but to repeat that same bloodwork about 6 weeks after the cycle is done.

Agreed with everybody here about that E.R. Doc. "Hey Sir, your house is on fire, now go back in and we will figure out how to put it out later." fucking idiot!

Hey guys, first off thanks for the replies, trying to comprehend all replies as respond to my best.

Okay, so as far as I feel, I feel like dog shit, I went to the doctor Sunday I believe, I felt like shit about 2 weeks prior to going, got really bad and ended up going in.
Now how I feel, I have headaches, I'm weak, I have exsesive pain in my left kidney, I'm light headed all the time, sometimes feel sick, I still pee, but I literally pee every 30 minutes (no joke)
Pee is clear and doesn't stink.
Sometimes I get hardcore stomach cramping pains, and I'm sleepy all the fucking time... It's bullshit can't even stay away past 6pm without a nap.
I got more blood work done on Tuesday, so I see a different doctor tomorrow. Hopefully with all blood levels. And I can report back up you guys and let you know what he said.

I didn't read every post on here yet but right off the bat get off all AAS immediately.. run a natural PCT, stay away from all drugs/alcohol.

2nd off I want you to go to specialist, not the ER.. the ER docs are in a rush and you won't get good care.. if someone smashes their head open its more of a concern to them than you are at this point.

3rd since you didn't get a copy of your bloods from this idiot doctor, go to privatemdlabs.com .. order the female hormone panel for 59 bucks.. print it out.. go to labcorp tomorow morning and get your bloods done.. and then post them on here when you get the results.. i want to see them

this doc could be blowing smoke up your ass, we don't know. its normal to have organ strain on cycle, but if things get out of hand then you could be in trouble.. so i want to see your full results. also have you taken creatine lately? that can manipulate your results..

and 4th always ALWAYS run n2guard on a cycle. and in the future dont stack so many things like that if you aren't gonna monitor your bloods like a hawk.

I'm glad you're seeing a different Dr tomrrow, I get the feeling those others are not taking this thing seriously enough.

Hey Steve I'll do my best to get that done. I see a doc tomorrow so maybe I can get a copy of the blood work already done and past it on here for you too see. I work 46 hours a week on top of taking care of my year old, so im really strapped on time and cash.
I'm really hoping all this is just dehydration and like all of you say thè doctor was just a idiot.. Cuz from the sounds of this shit i dont want it lol. But I will know for sure answers tomorrow at 3pm Nevada time. And I will post information immediately.
I really appreciate your guys concern. Thanks bros.

It just would not be a bad idea to start drinking some Cramberry juice like now. Even if your kidney is not the issue, it is just a good practice.

Yeah reading your symptoms bro, this is no joke - you definitely have something going on and these could certainly be signs of something serious. These are definitely symptoms of what can happen when the kidneys aren't doing their job. (could also relate to other problems) When I used to work with ESRD Patients they all complained of similar symptoms before going on dialysis (or missing dialysis treatments). You are doing the right thing though - stop the cycle, get the second opinion, get the additional blood/urine tests, and get to a specialist. This ER 'doctor' should have sent you to a nephrologist straight from the ER with that diagnoses.

Good luck bro - i'll be thinking of ya and hoping for the best

Keep us posted brother, we all want to hear how you are doing.

my issue is the doc seems like he was in a rush and didn't even give him a copy of the results.. i wonder if maybe he was wrong or mis-read the results.. i am curious to see his full bloods and see what else is going on

i've gotten bloods from a doc before and they accidentally switched mine with someone elses.. turns out i was a 40 year old pregnant female.. i was pissed when i got home and noticed that.. and i'm sure they gave my results to her so i was double pissed

Given the symptoms obviously he has something going on in some way. But your right....this doctor is a total ass bag.

Hey bros just got done with the doctor, he will give me a copy of my blood work.
So new diagnosis is
Renal insufficiency. It's a level before "acute renal failure"
So because they caught it early hopefully I can just drink water and flush my system, and it should get better. I believe my creatinine level was 1.59 it was a 1.65 at the ER but it has gone down.
So when I get tw copy I'll take a pic and post it, thanks for your support bros looks like I'll be okay!

Awesome to hear man. That creatinine level is still fairly high. Have you considered n2 guard?

My creatinine was 1.7 bro. The stupid ER doc could have done a much better job explaining shit to you. It's high....and a concern .....but no where near where he made it sound. 2 fucking gallons a day bro. Get some kidney health supps too.

Glad to hear how this shit turned out compared to where it was headed.

you still have gear in your system man. a month isn't long enough for it to completely get out.

run a natural pct that is safe.. don't use hcg, clomid, nolva or any other drug.. go all natural this time around.
