Culpepper is a freak!

When he was running the ball yesterday he looked like a Jerome Bettis type, only 5 inches taller! He tucks the ball under his arm and runs like a running back, plus he has a great arm. If he ever becomes more consistent he will be a great one.

Randy Moss had a tough, but good game. He had to work hard for his catches and got hit a lot. No easy long balls for him, but that may make him a better receiver in the long run.

Ok, I've got to give you some Karma for being a fellow Vikes fan! I think they are on the rebound after a slow start. What do you think about their fullback, Kleinsauser or whatever his name is. A 280lb fullback!

daunte is killing me. hes a ball hog. i have moss and he isnt doing shit in my league and it is because daunte hogs the ball

Moss has to get open first! Hey at least he got a lot of touches last week, although most of them were short passes. He got hit a lot, but held on to the ball and came right back for more. I think he was a big reason the Packers lost last week. He will breakout soon and have a great season.

The only thing that I don't like about Culpepper is that he gets too excited when he does make a good pass play. He needs to act like he's been there before.

Culpepper is all thats holding that team together right now. I was a big Moss fan until this year. I always thought his sideline rants were positive but he just bitches constantly. They could be down by 50 and he gets a TD and puts on a show. I think that it's ok for Culpepper to show some emotion when he makes a play though. Look at Denver, Griese looks the same when he throws a pick or a TD....he shows no emotion and distances his team mates. I mean you don't have to go nuts but you get Favre almost doing cart wheels after every play and no one cares.

It makes a big difference when you wear a Super Bowl ring on your finger and spend every February in Honolulu.

Then obviously Favre has been there before and should act the same, lol. Fire is good in QB's like I said. I do agree with you if you're talking about players in general who flip out after tackling a RB after a 4 yard gain or a WR who caught a 8 yard pass and ran out of bounds doing the first down signal. It's your job, you made a play that's why you're here. I do wish that the league would go easy on some of the celebrating though. You get a sack or a TD then have at 'er, you can tell when it's taunting. With QB's getting so big, pretty soon they'll have to start making rules so they don't hurt the LB's and defensive backfield.

I hear ya man. When DC came out of the backfield against Green Bay with the ball tucked under his arm, those 5'9"/185lb/4.5 40 running Corners were probably thinking: "oh shit!"

I went to University of Central Florida and watched Daunte play ball there.

You should have seen him play college ball. He was a freaking monster. When he couldn't find open recievers he would just run the ball. He looked like he was playing with little leaguers. He would run and put a hand out and just knock over anyone that tried to tackle him.

It was really funny to see him scramble.

He literally had as many rushing TD's as he did passing.

did anybody see your big huge daunte crying on the sidelines this week cause he had a bloody nose.... daunte is a ball hog:mad:

I don't get to see him play that much where I am. I don't know about a ball hog (as a QB?), but he is certainly too inconsistent. Hopefully he'll improve with maturity. He could also stand to lose about 20 lbs.

A ballhog Quarterback?

I don't think you are using the correct term. Its not possible seeing as the entire point to the position is to somehow get the ball to another player.

Anyway, maybe you mean he holds onto the ball to long before feeling safe enough to pass?

I don't think he chooses not to have reception stats, since this stat alone is what measures a QB.

ballhog= he doesnt look to pass the ball. he looks to run first and as a quarterback that is being a ball hog. especially if hes within 15 yards of the goal line. good luck if your gonna see him do anything but run.......thats college not pros

culpeppers and moster..and a freak

i think he weighs something like 260 runs in the 4.5 range
and i heard he can throw some serious numbers in the weight room.

One Elite fitness member posts, obviously after hitting the crack pipe, in reference to that most laughable team from minnesota.

What can I say? I am a hopeful (or hopeless) fan of a team that sucks this year.

Speed Freak:
a 100% D. Sanders... fastest catch-up speed I've ever witnessed..

john [/B]

true dat, but to be an effective corner today you need speed and a little size and strenghth too (ala Shawn Springs)

brian urlacker from the bears,

also like the hits from adam archuelata on the rams
lynch on the bucks..

and alstot pounding people

Those guys are all good, but seem to be mere mortals that work hard and do great. I wouldn't call them freaks though, except maybe Urlacher, he can get to the ball from anywhere and chases QBs and RBs down from behind.

Hey Pikey, I went to Central Florida as well. Watched Daunte light it up his Junior and Senior years (for those of you who don't remember...he was a long shot for the Heisman his senior year). The guy is a freak of nature, incredible athlete. I played against him in a charity/sorority basketball tournament. He's genuinely a nice guy.

As for this "ball hog" garbage. Does anyone think he was a ball hog last year? No. Why not? Because they still had Robert Smith. Take away the running game and guess what...even Randy Moss can't get open! What the hell else is he going to do with the ball but run it? I hardly think he's as "one dimensional" as Cordell Stewart! Culpepper's got a cannon for an arm, he just can't find the guys to throw it too this year.

Just my 2 cents.

Good to see a fellow UCF allumni.

You also live near where I live now. I find alot of people on these boards from Florida, and it is a small world.

Who knows, maybe I knew you when I went to school there.

Ever work out at the Worlds gym in Oviedo?

Anyways, I don't care what the Vikes are doing this year, Culpepper is still the F**king man!!!

hehe. Yeah. You?

My username says it all. I used to live in the house.

No doubt in my mind we have seen each other around.

Also I have some friends from Sigma Chi, Sig Ep, DU, and SAE. Dated some Zeta's and know some Tri Delts and DG.

You remember that big oaf that owns World's, Doug? hehe.

I've seen Sable and a few Pro Wrestlers in that gym before too.

Yep, I went through in Spring of '94. Wasn't real active after that though. I haven't been in that house in years.

I do remember Doug...I was also friends with a couple of the girls who worked at the front desk.

Hey I knew people in 94, where did you go through?

If you don't want to say, then just tell me which house where on Greek row. (i can tell from that).

The house with the broke-down fire truck in the front yard. Black and white tiled (linoleum) floor. Same house you lived in bro.

Get the fuck out of here!!!!!!!!!

For real? Holy shit! I should have figured you were a bro, meeting you on this forum.

Hmm, went inactive in 94? I at least know some guys you went through with.

Email or PM me if you ever get a chance...

told ya daunte sucks... get a qb in there that isnt worried about his rushing stats and minnesota dominates like they should have all year

I'm glad to see the Vikes win a game, but I sincerely don't think that Daunte Culpepper is trying to add running stats. Maybe touchdowns, and that would be a good thing.

It was good to see Randy Moss perform again.

the differance between a goood qb and daunte is that after a good play the good qb goes right on playing and thinking about the next play. daunte will celabrate and act stupid and it affects the next play. like most fools who act up in the league and think its wwf.

Brett Favre does this too, doesn't he? I think Daunte will learn to calm down a bit as he matures.
