Crossing the border to visit a pharm

I just got alot of info on this myself. I live in Az, and my friends bring back somas and valiums everytime they go. def do not declare anything. If ur american u can bring ur american scripts down there to get filled (90) day supply, or if u dont have scripts a mexican doc will write one for what ever u need/want. You have to pay them though. If you do pay a mexican doc to write u a script u still cant declare it when u come back. Right now im looking into when i go down there, to having whatever i pick up mailed back to the states. Po box style that is

I talk to those ole' ladies at work all the time and they tell me that they do this everytime. if they don't have a script for something, the mexican doctor will write out a script for the medicine, usually they have doctors working in the parms, and then when you walk across the border, if they ask, you show them the script and the meds. Believe me, i'd love to stash the meds, but where do I put them other than a body cavity! Plus, if I stash the meds -then they want to search me, then i'm even more screwed! If anyone else has any other thoughts or experiences in doing this, let me know. I might chicken out before saturday if it's negative enuff..

what happens if one should get a doctor over there to write a prescription and stamp it for legitimacy?
Has to have a script from a "U.S.-licensed practitioner (e.g., physician, dentist, etc.) who is registered with, and authorized by, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to prescribe the medication."

I dont think the DEA cares what kind of stamp a Mexican Doc has.

Alright, I guess you guys are right. I went over to drugbuyers to find the whole scoop on peoples personal experiences with traveling to mexico and bringing back controlled substances. Here's the deal:

If and when you are in mexico pharms, pay the extra 40$ for the script for the controlled substance. This way, it will cover your ass from the federales while in mexico, thus, avoiding la mordida! (the bite!).

If you succeeded past the first part, go back to the border and start your trek across it. Most likely, you won't get checked unless you look suspicious or stand out. If you are unfortunate enough to get checked by the mexican customs, that will only occur GOING INTO MEXICO. If you are standing at the fence ready to go through, you don't have to worry about going to a mexico jail, but since you are leaving, you will be checked GOING OUT by USA customs. UsA customs state you can have 1 controlled substance with a max of 50 pills. Nothing else that is controlled will be permitted. ;p And even then, it's up to the state discretion whether or not to charge you for possession of a controlled substance.

Mexican doctor's scripts are void at the USA border. Usa could care less about mexican doctors.

Here's the catch:

You can walk across and not declare the medication , as above people have mentioned, and take a chance. If you haven't been caught before, and if this is a low dosage, you'll be warn and your medicine will be confiscated, or you could go to jail (US jail that is).

You can take a prescription bottle that had previous medication in, (or u could just dump your current meds out) and have it refilled on the other side and just say that you brought it into mexico with you..blah blah blah.. most likely they won't do much coming back into the us.

Either way, after listening to everyone here and over at the other board, I have decided that it isn't worth the trip esp. when there are better ways of getting meds.. NROPS. :) lol.

Thanks for the input everyone..that's why i love elite :)

Someone might have said this but I would like to quickly sum up what the law says about mexico. Their written prescriptions are (only) good if mexico police stop you. They don't matter outside the U.S. except for maybe a certain few doctors who can write a perscription for either country. You will not face trouble or charges for declaring any drug upon leaving, but declaring your drugs will however get them taking from you if the are controlled drugs. i.e. pain killers or other good stuff. Don't think you are going to save money buying prescription drugs in mexico. Viagra is somewhere between $10-$15 a pill, lortab $5-$10 a pill. The drug companies are making it harder for us to just get stuff in mexico. I believe a lot of money is being spent or given to mexicos government by drug companies, to thwart americans from buying; but this is just a theory. Antibiotics are probaly a good bet in mexico but I seen nothing else worthy, besides it's a long trip. (I just got back) You will also need to find the mexican name of the pharmaceutical you are looking for. (don't expect to see familiar names or packages) Steroids are expensive business in pharmacies. Veterinarians are your best bet. human grade Deca goes for up to $15 for a 50mg shot. $14 for sustanon250 $9 for a mexican version of sustanon 250 which only contains 2 testosterones. It's noth the border you have to worry about but, texas if you go the route I did. read my other post and see why.
