Crossing the border to visit a pharm

Just wondering on what experiences you guys have had with buying prescription medicines over the border?

My wife and I are heading down to the yuma, az border this weekend for the first time to buy a few things. I have done some research on the web and found that most places say that if you buy 3 months of non-controlled or controlled substances, the officials will look the other way. I was thinking about picking up a month supply of somas, antibiotics and maybe some t-3s (yes i know - the perfect bbr's bandaid kit for beat up - broke ass muscles! ) while the wife was thinking about picking up phentermine.

Is it easy as just walking into a pharmacia and asking for what you want and then declaring it at the border and walking back across? (This is what everyone is telling me at work).

I'm curious to what the popular census will be :) And no, i'm not keestering any 10ml vials or amps of gear! lol..

good luck. It sounds like they pulled all gear off of the shelves down south. You talk about it with guys at work? Wow, your one trusting dude. Do a search for mex gear over the last month you should find something about all the companies closing shop.

BOOGS

no no..i'm NOT talking about gear..just reg. medicines like the ones that I described.. I can't imagine buying gear from mexico when i have the best domestic source! :)

If you do declare it the will seize it and then threaten to press charges at a later date. Also the will tell you to never croos the boarder here again. I know from experience form living in AZ and traveling there many times with friends who try to bring back shit like somas of valium or even juice. They will take all your info and may even do the whole strip search holding cell thing depending what you got, but they will not let you cross with shit like that. Now if you have a real script from an American doctor bring it along and show that and you'll be fine.

If you don't have a prescription, I wouldn't recommend brining meds. back.

U.S. residents entering the United States at international land borders, who are carrying a validly obtained controlled substance (other than narcotics such as marijuana, cocaine, heroin, or LSD), are subject to certain additional requirements. If a U.S. resident wants to bring in a controlled substance (other than narcotics such as marijuana, cocaine, heroin, or LSD) but does not have a prescription for the substance issued by a U.S.-licensed practitioner (e.g., physician, dentist, etc.) who is registered with, and authorized by, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to prescribe the medication, the individual may not import more than 50 dosage units of the medication into the United States. If the U.S. resident has a prescription for the controlled substance issued by a DEA registrant, more than 50 dosage units may be imported by that person, provided all other legal requirements are met.

Please note that only medications that can be legally prescribed in the United States may be imported for personal use. Be aware that possession of certain substances may also violate state laws. As a general rule, the FDA does not allow the importation of prescription drugs that were purchased outside the United States. Please see their Website for information about the enforcement policy for personal use quantities.

Conflicting info! I figured on some medications a person will be required to have a prescription, but everyone that I talk to or have talked to states they do it all the time and declare away and no one does anything.. According to the dea website you are allowed to bring back a total of 50 per item. But then again, I found a pharmacy that will ship it back to me :) lol. oh well.. sounded like a good idea at first :p

Last Saturday afternoon there were over 2000 people waiting in line to cross back over into the US from Algondones, MX. 90% of them were bringing back medicine. The other 10% were pretenting they weren't. The shelves are still stocked with gear, although prices are up due to the vet lab owners being busted. Vet stuff is available but harder to find unless you have connections. (I don't) If you declare any controlled substance at Customs you will likely be hassled or arrested, or both. If you are bringing back Amoxicillin, the Customs guys could care less. If you're bringing back 10 boxes of Sostenon redi-jects and 10ml of Doggy Deca, tell the guy at the Customs counter if you like sleeping on concrete and wearing clothes with numbers on them. The funny thing is I've seen a young pumped dude get hassled who had nothing, then watched a 70 year old lady who I saw buy Oxycontin walk thru with out a blink. Just don't seem right, the bitch is a drug smuggler and gets a discount at Denny's.....

about 5 yrs ago went to loredo and got mexican script and claimed diet pills and xanax and had no problems as long as bottles are sealed. i met a dr. at the gym who hooked me up with gear. it was funny he was asking me how to dose it. my mother who is cool went also and she carried my gear across no problem.

True dat. You need an RX to bring it back. I used to take a trip to Nogales every week to take my injections and return to the US. I got searched every time. If you look around you can get a Mexican Dr to write you an RX, but I don't think you'll be allowed to bring product across. Don't even fuck around. It's not the USA you need to worry about. The federales can lock you up for whatever they want anyway. Why give them a reason to? IMNSHO you're risking the welfare of your family by even considering this. And whatever you do, don't bring a gun or ammo into Mexico-it's like a 15 year sentence. And in case you didn't know it already, mexican jails make San Quentin look like The Ramada. No toilets-you shit in a hole in the ground. No toilet paper either-unless your family pays a guard to give you some. No beds, just a blanket. You're also not guaranteed any certain amount of food or water.
