Crossfit & Anavar

This is true, and thanks for the heads up via PM.

First off, are you simply sticking with a WOD or are you incorporating anything else? For instance, I start every workout with a compound exercise (bench, dead, squat) and either work those into my WOD or simply add a metcon along with them.

I used var before I started with crossfit so I cant be certain but Im sure they would go very well together. What is the increase in strength for? That would be my first question.

Thanks for the reply.

The strength increase is for mma, jiu jitsu specifically. Also personal satisfaction with my crossfit workouts.
Im only doing the WOD and not using the crossfit websites WOD. We use the theoretical template for CF programing and design our own.
Should var provide me with decent strength gains and pumps or should it be stack with primo say? Iam kinda curious how noticable the strength gains are on a var only cycle. Ive heard some mixed opinions, the majority in favor.

Crossfit is great for core and muscle endurance, but if you are looking for serious strength gains you should add a strength training routine to you schedule..

That's actually a prety big misconception about Crossfit; that it contains only metcons. There are a fair amount of strength days in the programming, and there are several templates that focus much more on strength; Crossfit with a Strength Bias, ME Black Box, and Crossfit Football. Or you can do what I do many times which is to pick a compound lift, work up to a 1, 3, or 5rm and than follow that with a metcon. So, it's not so much adding a strength routine as Crossfit is a strength and conditioning routine, but more shifting that emphasis toward strength. It's all about finding a balance of what works.

Of course, you aren't going to become the biggest, strongest guy in the gym doing this, but if that's your goal than Crossfit isn't the right program for you. Instead look to proven bodybuilding and powerlifting routines.

Ive never heard of ME black box before you mentioned it. I did a lot of reading about it and i think im gonna give it a try. I really like the concept.

Cool. A lot of people have had great success with it, being able to increase strength and not really sacrifice conditioning. When the crossfi with a strength bias article came out, I had to laugh, because I was already doing nearly the same thing my training.
