If you knew your boyfriend/girlfriend was sexually attracted to someone else but really loved you and woudlnt fuck around on you without your approval....have you ever though about giving that person to him/her as a gift. Im asking becaue a girl I date and love is attracted to a young bodybuilder at the gym. He is a very cool guy and is actually really good looking (young though only 23). The problem with "official" Christianity..

is that they basically demand ou to dumb your mind down. If you ask for proof of anything or try to think for yourself, you will be told "faith..yadayadayada" or made to feel like an ass for doubting for the most part.
And Christians never remember how it used to be. if you bring up stuff from the past, oh that wasnt us..Catholics were responsible for the crusades(well you are both Christians though). I'm not Catholic, but I don't like to see the Church getting ignorantly bashed, either.

Sure, in 2000 years bad stuff has been done by the Church, as by everyone else, but it's nothing compared to all the good it's done: hospitals in the third world, schools for poor kids, homes for orphans, etc. etc.

Whoever posted that Protestants didn't protest slavery knows NOTHING about American history. The opposition to slavery was explicitly Christian. Without Christians (mostly Protestants) courageously attacking and fighting slavery, we might still have slavery in the West.

Interestingly, the only countries where slavery still exists are a few Muslim countries in Africa. Christianity was the weapon that killed slavery. It was also the weapon Martin Luther King and others used to oppose racial discrimination in the 50s and 60s.

So many people ignorantly bash the Church because some nun slapped their hand with a ruler when they were ten or something. Take a wider view and you'll see how much good Christianity has one -- and is doing -- in the world.
