probably it got something leak on it from another vial during storage

$60 or $100 might seem like a lot but If I thought the cops were on the way to my house or if the gear could make me ill I'd toss it. That's just me. Safety or money, hmmmm easy decision for me. I cant see the bottle and from your description it sounds OK but your the one to suffer if something goes wrong, your call.
