Courtroom tomorrow - fighting liscence suspension

I only visit SC to see my family, but I seem to have accumulated three tickets on my visits, and they want to suspend my liscence. I normally livein VA and if I have a week before I get it officially suspended and now, I will get a VA liscence while I am still unsuspended.

They allowed me to request a hearing, and I have no idea why, but I requested one. It's tomorrow.

I'm not really sure what to say to get out of getting my liscence suspended or why it matters. I intend to lay out three things:

1) I would have contested the first two tickets (same incident) but was mistaken about the court date.
2) I use my car to get to charitable causes (two a week) and not being able to drive would hurt the community.
3) My new company requires me to drive to several places in the area I live.
4) I have a clean record in VA/DC/MD and only have tickets in SC where I rarely am.
5) I will enrole in a driving safety course when I get back to Virginia.

Any other thing I could say to disuade them from suspending the liscence?

sc is similar to nc so you should be able to negotiate some with the d.a. if he or she is an asshole and won't deal with you ask the judge for a continuance and hire a local attorney. i would charge between $300 and $500 for that type of case. plus a local lawyer should be able to get it reduced to an infraction that won't affect your insurance or license status.
