Cottage cheese is absoulutely awful!

I have never in my life tried cottage cheese, but was in the grocer the other day and bought some just as something different. So many other female lifters eat so much of it, cant be so bad, right?

WRONG! It is awful. I heard many times that it is not so tasty, but healthy and can be calorie dense if higher milkfat. But i did not expect something just this awful.

How do so so many lifters on clean diets eat that stuff? do you flavor it with things? or add to gainers mixes? I ate a bit by itself just from the container and...YUCK.

I eat only the fat free kind, and it tastes the worst. Usually I mix some chocolate protein powder or orange slices into it. Somtimes I just bite the bullet and suck it down raw, tho. :)

I've also tried mixing salsa and tuna with it, and heating the whole mess in the microwave, but depending on what foods you like, that may even taste worse than the plain cheese! :)

If you take a bite of ice cream between bites of cottage cheese...it makes it much better. Just kidding...lol

I did find that if you mix cottage cheese with tuna...they kinda cancel each other out nicely.

actually i have my chocolaat protein powder here and thought of mixing that in, but was not sure how those flavors would mix. Think i will give that a try. Cant imagine it could be worse then plain. BLUUUH.

Mix it with hot beans. Black or pinto, it sorta melts and becomes a cheesy topping for them. I love plain cottage cheese though.

You can also puree it with some fat free pudding mix, it takes like uncooked cheesecake, but it's one of those things where you think man I could eat this forever, everyday, it's so good, then by the end you are just like yuck.

I cant stand the stuff either, but I find that forcing the Dry cottage cheese (comes in a bag, not a tub) down is easier than the kinda 'moist' stuff (in tubs).

I add it to spinach salads, and once it gets a little dressing on it you dont even notice it.

Wow, I'm a guy and I love cottage cheese. The Friendship brand is by far the best tasting.
