Thanks for the clips. What level in Capoeira is Lelo out of curiosity? His striking did not seem crisp or effective in that clip. He went for that neat kick in the beginning that didn't do anything and then his striking after that seemed poor at best. His punching especially seemed sloppy.

The pushing hands stuff seems akin to "hand fighting" in wrestling with some mystical BS thrown in.

WHats "Mystical" about it ? Dude , its just a Drill , and , in fact , Its VERY Akin to "Hand Fighting" or "Pummeling" in Wrestling , and thinking that theres anythign Mystical about it is purely silly .

And while the GOALS of the drill arent the same , and neither ios the Approach the fact that they are specific Drills designed to teach students specific things about Fighting - and not the WHOLE of the game of Combat - in fact there are many "Levels" or "Stages" of Push hands , one that in many schools now allows for an includes Ground Grappling .
