Im outting together a list of things not to forget to bring to my show...

Eyedrops (contact case)
Water Bottle
Towel
Pam spray
red wine (1/2 glass)
High sugar brownie
Honey
OTC duiretic ( incase bloated)
IBUprofen
change of clothes
Taurine caps(incase of cramps)
Hair Gel/Hair spray
Gum

anything to add guys?

niacin and No2. Take both about 45minutes before going on stage along with table wine. The niacin brings out vascularity. Around 500mg will do ya fine.

Flip flips / sandals - easy to get in & out of

Sweat suit - if they do the weigh-in in your posing suit, you'll want something easy to slip over it. Most competitors like to stay covered up prior to the show. Also long sleeves / legs in case you still drying your last protan layer

your posing suit --- make sure its a dark one or have a spare in case you get protan on it

extra protan for touch-ups

Are you protanning your face? You might want a good dark base makeup as protan can start to crack & streak when you start sweating, or if your face layer isnt' dark enough (MAC women's make up makes great bases -- or if you go to the department store and talk to any of the make up counter people about makeup more for stage / theatrical - they should be able to help you)- people who don't have dark enough tan on their faces stand out under those stage lights - the contrast between face & body becomes vary stark.

other food besides brownies ;) - for ex if there is a big delay in the start of the show or several different weight classes you have to sit thru - make sure you have a complete day's worth of all the food you could possibly need because if you don't have it you may be screwed for time to get it.

at least 1 spare copy of your posing music -- do they require it on CD or tape? Also label it with your name & if you know it, your competitor number to help the (often idiot) people who set up the music for the routines.

small Bag of potato chips - if your electrolytes are too out of balance from your water deplete or your diuretics (esp lasix of something that isn't potassium sparing) - if you start to feel dizzy or light-headed (e.g. this is why you hear about competitors passing out on stage) - you can eat a couple potato chips (not the whole bag) and the salt will help to even out your electrolytes again. - its not a necessity but its a little trick I learned yrs ago from a well-known female competitor / trainer.

A digital camera so we can see your pix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bump to your posing trunks. Try eating Polaner Jelly while you are back stage pumping up. Bananas and baked pot.

Don't be the 1st guy in your weight class to check in/weigh in. Usually they'll line you up in pre judging in the order that you sign in/ in weigh in. If you're the 1st guy in line, after mandatories are through you'll get zero rest/chance to catch your breath before your individual 60 sec routine . This is unnecessary stress you can avoid by letting a newbie or two weigh in for your class before you. If your mandatories last abnormally long because the competition is close in your class, you'll be extremely thankful that you weren't 1st in line. I made the mistake of being 1st to weigh in in my 1st show. I was so spent after mandatories I could barely pose properly during my 60 sec routine. I puked afterwards too. It was not cool.

Also make sure you trust whoever puts oil on your back-especially if you sweat a lot. Too much oil will blurr your definition and another competitor may choose to be a prick and deliberately apply it too thick.

No shit? And I thought it was rough on the guys that didn't bust the top 5 that don't get to perform their routine to music at night.

If you're holding water you'll need something stronger than an otc diuretic. Also quinine is much better for cramping than taurine. Taurine replaces what's lost during clen use.
