Help!
My 15 month old has it I think.either that or it is a blocked tear duct.I dont want to put drops in his eyes either way.
So is it no hot water on it? I am going to bathe him and i want to be sure.
Thanks for the help.Going into pedi I normally know this stuff but I am jumbled lately!

Be a good mommy and give the little one lots of sympathy, that shit hurts.

If the eye(s) is all gooey and matted, I doubt that there's anything wrong with a warm, wet wash cloth to lossen up the sludge. . .I've done it and my kids can still see. I definitely wouldn't put any drops of any kind in it w/o the doctor visit.

Also, the stuff they gave us for our twins when they had it was more oinment. . .big fun trying to get that shit rubbed into a squirming toddler's eyes. . .my heart goes out to you. I get freaky everytime one of my kids has a sniffle. . .thank God for my wife's much cooler head. . .they'd live at the damn doctor if it was up to me.

get it confirmed by a doc and if it's the viral kind, it's contagious so be careful yourself. keep your fingers away from your eyes too.
