COMPUTER PEEPS: FINALLY went wireless; how do i encrypt it?

the kid at Best Buy told me there wouldn't be any instructions on how to encrypt and password enable the system....was pushing me hard to take advantage of their encryption service for $129.95.........lil' bastid...

Just like buying extended warranties. If an electronic component lasts for 1 year, it will last for two.
