Is it OK to do it yourself?? Suggestions?? Guidelines??

I have heard from several competitors (IFBB) that MAC is the best to use on stage. It was developed for stage makeup (movies, theater) therefore works well on day of comp. The colors are bright, full coverage, long lasting. I love MAC makeup for everyday, but it is supposed to be great for stage.

I was considering buying the Almay eyeshadow palette that's supposed to be for your particular eye color....For green eyes (me) it's plum + bright green eyeshadow....

Read the articles.......they suggest NOT putting Pro Tan on your face & also not tanning your face.....so how do you get your face brown enough??

Oh gawd no do not put that protan on your face

You need to either have it done for you or get a VERY dark foundation from either MAC or Makeup forever. Lots of girls I know that compete use MAC I use make up forever, only because they have the color that matches my face perfect. It's also a stage make up.

If you're going to do it yourself, they put the protan a few layers on say your neck, and go to the makeup counter tell them you are going to be that dark, THEY ARE GOING TO LOOK AT YOU LIKE YOU'RE CRAZY. But make sure they understand that you are going to be extremely dark.

Are you doing BB or figure, have you decided? If you're doing figure, do not forever the fake eyelashes.

What I use for face is a different tanner... such as Clarins self-tanning for face that way I get a nice glow tan when I apply my make up . When I didn't apply tan in my face, photos appear with my face almost white.

Yes wear fake eyelashes, it makes a difference. Especially if the girl next to you has them and you don't!

I will check out the MAC store then at the mall...

With self tanner, my face STILL doesn't tan much.......

It's looking like I'll be doing Figure in August then Figure + BB (same show) in Sept.....

And I do plan on using fake eyelashes..........
