Muscle Mythology

Do protein supplements really help build stronger muscles? Probably no more than a healthy diet does.
In a study, people who lifted weights achieved no greater strength gains when taking a protein supplement than they did when working out without taking the supplement. Research suggests that a properly balanced diet can provide your body with all the protein it needs for building strong muscles.

I've read this before as well.

I don't remember anybody saying anything differently.

The reason mrp's and protein powders come in so handy is for busy people, or people like me. My appetite is so low, I would never eat enough protein unless I was able to drink it. Plus, I am lactose intolerant, so drinking whole milk is out of the question.
