Clomid for the Wife

New member
I wanted my wife to take clomid (we are about to start a family) but she only wants one and I want to. I told her that taking clomid might give her twins. :p
What would be the normal dosage for her 20-25mg? I only have 50mg so i would cut it in half.
Any suggestions

Thanks

Clomid won;t necessarily result in multiple births and it sure as hell ain't the way to go about it. Strarge request. HCG will most likely result in multiple births if she's under 35.

personally don't think this is the right place to ask this kind of question, for something along these lines you should really be overseen by someone with REAL medical expertise!! you don't wanna be playing around with your wife's health, in a f'around kinda way!! the last thing you want to be explaining to a doc (should a problem arise) is why you took advice on a steroid forum and then self-medicated to try to get pregnant, it will make you feel rather foolish and it's the kind of story that would get passed around in a hospital for years to come... on top of just another way to give juicers a bad name!! just my 2 cents, take it for what you will!! but I hope you use rational judgement in this!! it's one thing to take the risks of using gear for yourself, it's another to take the health of someone you love into your hands.... that makes YOU directly responsible should it go the wrong way!!! what if she miscarries (which is always a chance) will it always be in the back of your minds thta it could be because you decided to play doctor... not tryin to flame you bro... just want you to think long and hard about all the possible implications!!

WTF?! yes it is how you go about it thats what its for. another great post from our resident guru. Clomid helps women achieve ovulation if they are having trouble getting pregnant. First step clomid, then check the husbands sperm count, then laproscopic surgery.

To answer your question, my wife is on it now. Our doc prescribed 50mg/dy on days 5-9 of her cycle.

Same here for my sis. 50mg/day for 5 days of her cycle.

I still would not recommend just jumping in and trying it out though. Get some tests done and find out what is wrong.

Thanks bro I know thats what it's for. I would give my wife something that would harm her. My friend wife was prescribed it but they had other issues so the doc sent them a different route.

Just a FYI for those who thought it was just PCT. I wasn't sure on the dosage thats why i post.

The first fertility drug?
Clomiphene citrate (CC, Clomid, Serophene) is often the first fertility drug that couples come in contact with. It is (relatively) inexpensive as fertility drugs go, it is easily taken (orally rather than by injection) and it is the first line drug used for ovulation induction in patients with PCOS and other ovulatory disorders. It has been used for patients with luteal phase defect. It can also be used to assess ovarian reserve or, in other words, the likelihood that a woman's ovaries can still produce viable eggs. Clomid is not useful for women whose ovaries have reached the end of their working life

What are the side effects of Clomiphene?

Twin pregnancies may occur in as many as 5% of the women who use Clomid. Triplet pregnancies are far more rare
(Just pointing out what i posted above. By now way I am saying i am a doctor)
