Citizens and Pilots REFUSING TO BOARD PLANES.....

with Arabs on them. According to the New York Times today, several American citizens have refused to get on planes when Arabs have been on them. One report even has a pilot refusing to fly a plane because some Arab men were on his plane.

This WAR IS BRINGING OUT THE WORST IN OUR NATION----non-tolerance.

I agree..I have an International flight at the end of the week and hell if my flight is going to be cancelled by some paranoid passenger who is scared of somebody wearing a turban or shawl or of a person who just 'looks' like a terrorist.

If I sit next to one of these Middle Eastern persons, I'll just ask them straight out if they're a terrorist or not...and if so, if they could please wait until the in-flight movie is over before commencing with the terrorism

Well, on that point, the Times also reported today that authorities think that considering how extensive Bin Laden's "Al Qeta" network is, they might actually have the capabilities of creating biological warfare, and know how to sucessfully carry it out.

True, people forget that the chances of you being on a hijacked plane is very very low.....kinda of like the odds of your airplane crashing........Odds are much greater that we will all get killed driving our own cars.

Well with the reports of pilots giving preflight breifings on how the passengers are expected to fight plane hijackers..........I Hijackings are gonna be alot tougher. Look for other ways for them to harass us......though those other ways will be more difficult and have less effect.

As for not boarding a flight with arabs....well, I'm sure there are always those that have always felt that way towards the arabs, but now that the issue has risen to the surface, everyone has taken on a 'better be safe than sorry' attitude. Not saying it's right, but it's kind of like when awareness of AIDS first became on the scene and parents became outraged upon finding out another student or faculty were HIV-positive....it'll die down over time. Just another one those things you should be aware of and you should be educated on and intelligent enough to make your own decision as to how you approach the issue. I don't believe it's necessarily a 'wrong' attitude as long as no crime is being committed by being paranoid.
