Chili

Depending on where you buy it, and how it's made, it can be good or VERY bad...

Think about the processing. High in sodium plus the beef they use isn't very healthy and quite fatty. Plus the added sugar

Alright, if you buy the beef, beans and cheese, you can make a much better meal

non processed chili is VERY good in terms of macronutrient breakdown. If you are concerned with sat. fat u can always make turkey chili too. I love the stuff but good lord them some powerful beans sometimes...

Buy chili beans which are non-fat with chilli spices and then add your own chicken, turkey, eggs, whatever.

I make my own chili: turkey chili and white chicken chili

Regular: canned beans (rinsed & drained -- kidney, light & dark, pinto, etc), spices, tomato sauce, cooked ground or cubed turkey or beef & lots of vegetables (zucchini, corn, mushrooms, broccoli, chopped tomato, green beans, etc -- can use frozen)

White: canned beans (navy, cannelini, pinto, white beans, etc), chopped cooked chicken, carrots, other veggies as desired, broth.

Cook till done or as you like it. Good to cook a big batch to freeze in containers for a quick lunch.
