Ive been getting those bags of chicken breats. I read the back and although its high in protein its 32% cholestoral. Is that bad? Also, is ham good for you? thanks

Lean cuts of ham are quite good.
98% lean is 25calories and 5 protien, w/ the rest being fat (but mostly mono)
The down side to them is that they are high in sodium (like 16% rda a slice), I rinse them before I eat em to try to cut it down.

hmm

1of my meals include 2hambuger ground sirloin beef 93%lean 7% fat

1pattie -21protein/0carbs/7fat
22% cholesterol

since i have 2 of them its 44% cholesterol.........

i have it with wwhamburger bun

is this bad ???

The chicken breasts are fine, long as they're skinless. Ham is ok too, only it's real high in sodium which will make you retain water.

I've been eating a lot of ham too.... I think the same thing you guys are talking about, because it's cheap and easy. I don't care much about sodium at this time.... and the nutrition info says 0% carbs and 3% fat.... so it looks pretty good to me. In the last 4 weeks of my cutting phase I'm gunna lose the ham and the skim milk.

So, when I get to 4 weeks left.... how do I stop myself from retaining water?

You'll stop relatively quickly once you cut down on the sodium. Probably within a day or two

These days many scientists are saying cholesterol levels in food don't effect the levels in your body. The levels in your body are more regulated by the ammount of saturated fat you eat, so they say. So I would say that you are safe eating as much cholesterol filled food as you like for at least the next 6 months until the guys in the lab coats change their minds........
