Cheating isn't eating 'bad stuff', it's eating something contrary to your goal. So if your goal is just to bulk cleanely, as long as you get your protein each day, I don't think it really matters if every once in a while you have a subway sub on wheat or some fried chicken.
Although, if you use R-ala/Gluraroll-R, your cheats don't quiet count as much.
I've had severe flue, so my cheating 'day' isn't quite a day...more like a week of eating cookies and bloody meat...
also usually I don't have cheat days at all, don't need them as the food I crave (meat and fish steaks ) I eat everyday anyways, my cheat days are usually my 'outings' with friends and mostly consist of hard liquor and dope.
you had the flu (i'm assumming that's what you meant) so you ate cookies for a week??? Am I missing something? Or did you get the flu-e from eating the cookies? And bloody meat? Hope that's a joke, esp. with all the pissed off (mad, lol) cows running around.............
Husband and I have a treat day each week. For me that usually means a meal comprised of something I've been craving and maybe some candy that I like. This past Sunday I had an all out crazy eating day. I had this huge gourmet cinnamon roll with icing for breakfast, lunch was a chinese buffet with 2-3 desserts, afternoon snack was another one of those rolls, and then I grazed through the evening. And I only weigh 115! It was fun at the time but I've been really bloated since then. I think it probably wasn't worth it. This weekend I'll be back to my more conservative approach.
One thing about cheating is that you want to make sure you don't "undo" everything you've sufferend for during the week by "treating" yourself. That's one of the reasons that I limit it to one or two cheat meals rather than cheat days.
If I had cheat days, I'd spend all day at all you can eat buffettes
I think cheat days are actually necessary if you are doing a low calorie diet for an extended amount of time in order to keep your metabolism ramped up.
Least thats what BFL says.
I would usually just eat a greater quantity of healthy food or just go to RoadHouse and get the all you can eat ribs + unlimited warm bread rolls + peanuts I love that place.
I'm not sure what my treats gonna be this weekend cos last weekend i took my bros out for all u can eat sushi
but it's my last weekend with one of my bros before he goes back to college this weekend so we'll prolly do something cool
maybe pizza.. i'm craving that right now lol
