debating should i cheat or not but i guess i dont really need the cheat its only my head playing games on me saying how tasty it is. so i guess next cheat day i will try try to AIM FOR THANKSGIVING :) :) :)
 
guys cheating once in a while is good, it keeps you sane :p

plus there is this talk about a new hormone called leptin. In short, when you underfeed this hormoons level gets lower and lower and your body rebels against fat lose, so guys cheat have that pizza drink that coke hihi.
Although cheating for me would be more like having that spoon full of peanut butter or eating that bowl of oatmeal.
 
I don't care for the term "cheat meals" because it implies you did something wrong, so I use the term "refeed". That said, refeeds are GOOD for fat loss. And, as the other poster mentioned, it is because of leptin.

fuck that man! if you're bulking just eat a whole pizza by yourself
have brownies, peanut butter and lots of milk after a workout (you could add whey protein to your milk) etc... i mean, why not?
some of you guys sweat it too much on the diet... you just have to eat enough quality protein, anything else that goes with it is fine

i took the advice of some people here and cheated. i had been on a strict 37 day low carb diet and I was feeling like crap. i waited till my body started saying "hey bastard, I'm not gonna drop anymore fat for you till you give me some food".

my body basically got used to my dieting and cardio. So i took a few days off and ate normal. I didn't go crazy and eat tons of shit but if we went to a restaurant, I ordered what i wanted. I'm back on my routine as of today and my mind/body feel fresh again.
My advice, wait to cheat till it's absolutley necessary.
 
Cheating can be good, although i'm glad i haven't had to yet. I've always read that you should only cheat if your body has stopped losing weight. Lucky for me i haven't needed a jump start :cool:
 
yah i am gonna wait until thanksgiving have a nice turkey ,sweetpotatoe with marsmallows and 2slices of pie or something

Better would be to start incorporating refeeds before this occurs. It will be more effective for fat loss and muscle retention, in the long run.

This is particularly important for people who are not meant to be cut and does not use DNP.

I cheated over the weekend.... it was meant to be only Saturday but Sunday turned out to be a cheat day as well....

.... I didn't eat anything too bad, the only fattening things were some cinnamon roll things. But I had heaps of carb food.... ate about half a loaf of bread, 5 bagels, some noodles, and about half a packet of Fruit Loops cereal....

.... but that's about it. Lots of carbs and sugar, but not much fat.... so hopefully that will give my metabolism a kick and won't affect my progress too much. Now it's business as usual...

.... cardio first thing tomorrow morning.

that sounds like me, i wasnt meant to be cut and dont use any drugs (yet :p). So im waiting for the next article. Im bulking now anywayz but i would like to incorperate the leptin principle into my next diet.

The next part of the article will just be the physiology. The fat loss stuff won't come until part 3.

Basically, if you notice yourself craving foods really bad, it was time for a refeed the day before. So, do a 24 hour refeed and then see how long it takes before you start craving things again. Then do a refeed and wait one less day before the next one.

EC and N can screw this up a bit, though.

I wonder what a day of cheating by a HUGE carb up would do to my 20-grams-of-Atkins-Carbs-a-day-carb-intollerant-body? :D
 
hmmm if ec fucks the timing up, Would it be a good idea to discern the timing while still at the start of my diet. Beacuase when i diet i start moderatly by just doing some cardio staying ecual on cals then over a period of a month introduce cardio and start to cut down on carbs. And only when im at a sticking point i introduce EC.

So if i determine the timing it takes my leptin in the earlie fases would it still be the same once i progress into the later parts of my diet? I would think my body would react totally diferent then?
