cheap budget

chicken & ground beef 90% lean would be your cheapest per lb (at least at my sam's club) then fish comes next.

Agree bulk is the way to go, especially in the long run. Bulk meats and freeze them in sealed packages till prepared to use them, bulk granola, etc.

90% lean beef is kinda pricey altogether, you might want to settle for 80-85%. 3-4T of Olive oil a day can add some good cals, peanut butter too.

like everybody's sayin' buy in bulk. you put a dent in the wallet up front, but stuff lasts longer (and even at warehouse clubs, there are price fluctuations - pick up a great deal when you see it)

Simple dude. Eat just four things plus a few veggies/fruits for vitamins:

Whey Isolate
Oats
skim Milk
Almonds

The first three go together to make a great shake. The last is a good source of fat and a good snack.

Just keep your eyes open for good deals. I actually found Tilapia for 1$ a pound in 4oz fillets! I bought 40 pounds of it. (Beats the hell out of the normal 5$ + a pound price)

Lately I have been eating a ton of brown rice, brocolli, and tilapia. I make 1cup brown rice and 1/2 lb tilapia, and 2 cups brocolli and that is around 1000 calories, basically no fat, 40 g protein from the fish and more from the brocolli, and the actual cost of that meal is just slightly higher than 1$. (Cheap fish rocks!)

Eat alot of eggs as well, and be creative.
