Honey bunches of oats

um my fav is oraganic flax with red berry crunch! YUMM cant beat 220 cals 800mg omega 3, 41g carbs and 6g protein.... i sometimes eat a bowl with 0% fat milk when im in the mood for cereal, doesnt count for a meal for me

I'd check the sugar vs fibre content... anything over like 6gs per cup or so is just boxed candy.

If you're after nutrition tho, some people swear by Kashi's GoLean line (which tastes real good)... but I'd still stick with oats and whey, or oats and cinnamon any day. Just remember, if you have any negative thoughts about Soy, generally 90% of the 'protein fortified' cereals are fortified with soy.

If you need sustained energy throughout the day (as I do) then oats are the perfect choice. However, I can't get oatmeal down to save my life. I would even grind in the blender with my protein shakes (yuk). This week I found a fairly good substitute - Bear Naked Fit Triple Berry Crunch (or they have other types). It is an all natural whole grain granola. Typically granola means sugar but for 1/4 cup you get 120cals, 21g carbs, 3g fiber, 3g sugar, 3g protein. Not too shabby. I use sugar free Silk Soy Milk. Even skim milk has sugar sugar! Not a fan of soy milk but in this case and in shakes it works just fine. I'm sure you already know this but don't forget to always pair your carbs with protein and not fat.
