Fucking A! Should be an incredible automobile! Also, GM finally put a decent interior in it.(No s10 steering wheel).
 
yo, ever since you mentioned the 06 Lexus IS...and I looked it up online I have been in love with that car..im getting it in march when my lease is up.

yea...I'll be leasing and im hoping to pay no more than 400/month. I'll problem have to get the IS250 which is only like 215hp...the IS350 has like 300hp..insane. aslong as they look the same..i dont care about the ponies.

Ah shit, you gotta go for the 350.

is250 is like the V6 Stang, and you know how that goes.....
 
The Z06 will be one hard car to top. Performance wise it will dust the majority of sports cars that cost much more. Excellent on fuel, can be used as a daily driver, not as much hassle with maintenance and repairs. That's almost unbeatable.

The only caveat is that the new Vettes don't give the driver a sense of road feel as they can be too smooth. Viper owners will probably mention this.

Agreed, a powerfull beast yet civilized enough for a daily driver.

As for the "smooth" factor, I guess it depends on the driver. I would probably appreciate the smooth ride.

i dont know, but this statement killed me. lol

as for the vette...well, I'm not a big vette fan, never have been. Infact, I dont understand how people can love american/northamerican made cars r(high end)as they do. IMO, they just arent the same as something from europe...which is why I dont see anything in vettes/viper.
 
I'm actually not a big fan of the vette past the late 70's, when they wen't to the boxier body style. But i think the new one is fine as hell and zo6 is just balls to the walls fast.
Does anyone have that clip of it doing the 1/4 mile? it chirps the tires on all 6 gears..fucking crazy.

I agree with that statement to an extent, definately. If you like speed then there ya go. Drop a few grand in them and they open up even more. Strap on a SC or some nitrous and you can get somewhere fast.
 
Can you imagine a Supercharged z06 (say 700 HP blown) with a 200 shot of nitrous?

Damn, you would probably have to carry a few extra pairs of underwear in the trunk.

Yeah, first try to figure out how to get all that power to the ground. I don't know how well a 12 bolt rear and et streets would hold. It would become a case of GOD I NEED TRACTION!!

the compression is too high to supercharge i think. you would have to put new pistons in to get the boost up.

The Zo6 is not your typical vette,I have one,its the night rider of sports cars imagine going into a sharp curve where the speed is posted 30mph Except you swing thru at 75 with no sweat,Hydroplane?no problem Computer control transaxle takes care of it.
and with 420HP its more than enough to meet my needs!

Even the LS-1 in the Camaro/Z-28/SS platform got like 25 MPG.

I drive an F-150. When I roll up they say 'daaanng'.
 
yep! on Cruise control i get around 20mpg or a lil better, its laying the petal to the metal that all hell breaks loose!

ya man i get like 20mpg its great. a car with 500 hp gettin 20mpg is awesome
 
Damn GM ! This one makes my 02 Z06 look obsolete. They are nice cars, but I don't think I will buy another vette, just because they are too common... especially in the ATL area. If the Z06 were more distinguishable from the regular coupe, maybe, but most people don't know the difference. Think I am going to sell my Z06 & 300zx, probably keep the viper & buy either a 6.0 diablo or a new gallardo. Nevertheless, this Z06 is probably the best "bang for the buck" sports car in the world.

but id still take the Saleen extreme R with its 575 hp at the flywheel and \\\
the twinscrew suprcharger and the forged internals....

plus saleen is a so cal thing


they finally passed emissions so look out for the extreme R..it also failed the test since it was too loud.... ill take one with no sound deadening materal please and add on the 14.5 inch breaks too
