One of my roommates bought some and I noticed it in the cabinet this morning.

Ser. Size 1/4 cup
Serving Per Container 2.5

Calories 60 (150 per can)
Total Fat 1g (2.5 per can)
Sat. Fat 0g
Cholest. 10mg (25 per can)
Sodium 320mg (960 per can, is this high?)
Total Carb. 0g
Fiber 0g
Sugars 0g
PROTEIN 11g (27.5 a can seems pretty nice)

He got this for 50cents a can... Its a 5 oz can so this is a pretty good amount. What do ya'll think about these? I still haven't tasted but roomie says they are pretty damn good.. I would probably add a can to my daily brown rice stir fry (i already use chicked, but that is chicken I could be eaten for dinner :))

50cents a can!!!!! Damn cheap...I pay ~$2.50

The only reason I eat them SPARINGLY is b.c i live in the dorms at college and dont have access to a grill every day......Other than the sodium and all the processing that goes along with this chicken, it aint all that bad....Its a good source of protein ....and the fat to protein ratio is also great. I try to not eat too much of it but Id rather eat this than tunda :)

****Its FAST, goes down easy, and w. some honey mustard(sugar free ofcourse) its good.

I actually buy the canned chicken breast from Sam's Club. If there is a superwalmart around, there is usually a Sams nearby for those of you who don't know what Sam's is. Anyway, I think it is great and I use it as an entire meal. However, it is a lot bigger than 5 oz. It is actually 13 oz. It sells for about 10 bucks for a pack of 5. Here is the label:

Serving Size = 1/3 cup
Servings about 5 per can

Calories 70
fat calories 15
Total fat 1.5g
Sat fat 0g
trans fat 0g
cholest. 40mg
sodium 250mg
total carb 0g
Fiber 0g
Sugars 0g
Protein 12g

that is 350 calories for an entire meal and 60g of protien. I love it but would love to hear the feeback from the vetrans out there

yo maddog i get that stuff from sams too! its great! its like boiled chicken in a can, shreds up so nice. i love throwing it in a quesadilla.

70g of protien per can i love it.

people see the cans and freak out cuz its chicken in a can but man do i love that stuff i get like 5 rolls at a time (a roll has like6 or 7 cans stacked on top of each other)

I used to get it from costco back in the day.

It makes your urine smell like cat piss. It's full of sodium. It's wet and soggy.

Other than that, it's chicken, so...

But for me, too salty.

it's very good te eat in a pinch. make sure you get plenty of water cuz like string bean syas, it is a sodium bomb. i dont worry about sodium too much though, just dont add any salts and drink @ least 1.5-2 gals a day.
