can you get tendonitis in the calves?

I have had it before in the wrist and elbow, and I swear that I have a little bout of it in the calve, at least that's what it feels like.

Is it possible?

you can suffer injuries to tendons and ligiments anywhere one exists, all the way from your jaw to the tip of your toes. Can you describe where the pain is? Keep in mind that sometimes the pain we feel isnt the actuall source of the problem but is called referral pain from a spot closer to the spine.

You have quite a lrge tendon down there....the Achilles...where exactly is the pain....

are you talking about shin splints? From running or doing calves excersies they get real tight?

From running 30 miles per week previously, I developed minor achilles tendonitis on my right leg. It appears slightly swollen and it is on the back right side on my soleus right below the right side calf muscle. It has gone away mostly because I don't do that kind of mileage anymore.
