Can someone who knows about fat-burning answer this?

That's what Glucorell is. R-ALA has shown to channel carbs you eat into muscle glycogen stores, as opposed to storing them in other ways, such as fat deposits. That is why it is ideal for PWO simple carbs. It turns simple carbs into immediate muscle restoration fuel.
 
tatertoos, can you elaborate a bit more? does R-ALA work in conjunction with another carb source, such as biotest's surge (meaning take both)? or is it a source of carbs itself? also, without R-ALA, do post-workout carbs only partially get used for glycogen restoration in the muscles? are there alternatives to glucorell on the market? thanks again.
 
you can get ALA, but from what I hear R-ALA is better, they are my fave product from the AF store, I use them religiously every weekend for my carb-up!
 
R-ALA is not a carb source it is used in conjunction with carbs. From what I have read and believe: as we all know simple carbs cause an insulin spike, this insulin spike causes glucose and other nutrients to be more readily uptaken by all body cells, including fat and muscle cells. Adding R-ALA channels this glucose into muscle cells, only, thereby, evading fat cells in the process so no "carbs/glucose" can be stored as fat until all of your glycogen stores are full.

I use ala/biotin with every meal containing carbs for this reason.

I believe for every 40g of carbs you ingest, you require at least 100g R-ALA for this process to be efficient. Many CKDers even claim that they can eat carbs and still remain in ketosis via the use of ALA.
 
thanks for the info, bros. i think i will try this R-ALA stuff. Is Glucorell-R the best stuff to get for this purpose? Does it contain biotin?
