I was wondering if this 2 movements can help to expose the muscle of your abs? if they do how many a day should you do? also some people say it's back for your back because they put lots of amounts of compression on the spine, what are your opinions guys, thank you.

If you want to have a six pack, you need to do the fighting in the kitchen. Everybody has rather well developed abs, but they are occluded behind a layer of fat. So you need to get rid of fat in order to make them visible. However, there is no such thing as localized fat burning, so you need to lose overall bodyfat in order to make those abs visible. Therefore, it would be much more effective to work on the bigger muscle groups, as they will burn more calories, and will contribute more to fat loss than abs exercises.

well if you have fat covering up your abs than what is the point right?

as a male we store our last fat in our stomachs, that is why a lot of guys who eat crap all day look pregnant. it is disgusting!

as far as ab work once you lean up you can work out abs daily, that is one muscle you can work daily

There is an age old saying 'abs are made in the kitchen'

You can have the best abdominals in the world but unless your body fat is low enough, they won't be visible because there will be a layer of fat covering them.

That being said, if you are lean, training your abs will help define the muscles and really help them pop out. You want to train abs with high reps and to train them frequently to tone the midsection and keep the midsection tight.

This is the template I recommend for ab training:
super set 1 : 3-4 sets of lower ab exercise x 20 reps super set with upper ab exercise x 20 reps
super set 2: 3-4 sets of lower ab exercise x 20 reps super set with upper ab exercise x 20 reps
3-4 sets of an oblique exercise like decline bench romanian twists - 20 reps per side
1 set to failure of a functional ab exercise like plank or ab roller

The best thing you can do is get lean first. If you have fat covering your abs and keep training your stomach, it will just get bigger. You want to focus on diet and get rid of the fat. Everyone has a 6 pack its just that you cant see it unless you are lean enough.
