There are alot of cool ways to get "suvineres" out of Mex. and if you only want them for your collection packaging makes no difference. I would clean them with alcohol to kill any "bacteria" that might find it's way across the Rio Grande. You wouldn't want to make one of those cute little customs puppies sick. With a "runny nose" he might miss something of importance.
