i don't see why not. the end product of ethanol metabolism is acetaldehyde so no sugars are present. just make sure that the mix is sugar-free or drink it straight up :vomit:
one last thing, since your liver metabolizes ethanol, when you drink your liver's production of glycogen shuts down therefore your blood sugar drops. so, in closing, moderation is the key.
It's okay for diabetics to drink alcohol. However alcohol in any form is HELL to your fat burning efforts. It will probably reduce them more than dietary carbs or fats. Not only does your body stop burning fat while you have alcohol in you system, but alcohol tends to increase cortisol, and decrease test and GH. (A side note regarding the hormones: some studies show things such as increased test with drinking. Even when this occurs the TOTAL amount of hormones such as test or GH (ie over the day or week) are reduced. Pardon the tangent! :-D
