callauses on hands from weights ?

Welcome thatgirl!!

I try to use lifting gloves all the time, but sometimes they are just simply annoying. I put lotion on my hands CONSTANTLY throughout the day, so that keeps them pretty soft. Otherwise, try using a scrub and, like Daisy said, a heavy moisturizer at night should help out a lot.

Like DirtyD I also use a pumice stone. Also, 3-4 nights a week I sleep with plain old vasoline on my hands covered by the cheap plastic gloves you get in hair color kits.

I also agree that lifting glove blow, never use them. Therefore I know I need the protection of some of that calloused skin on my palms and fingers. Bear in mind that your body is making those callouses for a reason....it needs them to prevent blisters. So you have to find a happy medium between beauty and function.
