First of all, I may get flamed for this(..lol...) but to allow such a deviant lifestyle to be recognized, by the governing state, is outlandish. Marriage is between Man and Woman. PERIOD!!!
Secondly, I find that it is just a precursor to worse things. Such as our country becoming more Liberal, higher STD rates and adoptions by same sex couples(I'll catch shit for that...no pun intended).

#1 The number of liberals and liberal influence is not going to change at all. You are not creating new people or categorizing any new political/governing bodies with a greater power.

#2 Describe "deviant". Interracial marriage was consider "deviant" as well not long ago. Inter-religious marriage is still considered deviant by some faiths.

#3 See my prior post regarding marriage for "man" and "woman" to see how flawed that logic is and open to abuse already.

#4 STD rates are not going to change based on how many people get married. That is absurd. STD rates are based on unsafe sex and promiscious people with no regards to their safety. Not marriage.

#5 FYI - same sex couples are already adopting children. Where have you been? This isn't something new. And it likely is not going to change. Although as years go by I suspect that it is going to decline because now gay men (and women) have simply gone about their business by choosing the other half of the parent and hiring them as donors/incubators. (haha. isn't that a better term than "breeder") I already know, personally in South Florida, 8 couples that have hired a woman to carry their child to term and then sign rights over afterwards. So adoption is not going to increase by marriage, but as I suspect only decrease as more gay couples take the hiring route.

not saying i don't like gays. one of my best friends is gay.. one used to be.. but its just morally wrong on all kinds of levels.

Likely because they feel it is harmful to society or the women if not deviant, but I doubt they use that P.I term.
