I don't have any solutions that don't involve a time machine.

My only hope is that whatever is done, the Euros lead the way so we won't get blamed for it. I see it as a no-win situation that will turn out badly no matter what is or isn't done.

Nuclear technology is one of those genies that can't be kept in the bottle forever. Every emerging nation will eventually reach that technological stage if they continue to progress. Which means the world could become an even more dangerous place as this century goes on.
